About this role
Responsible for all cargo automation activities throughout the network. Ensure smooth and adequate performance of the cargo system or any other similar operating system. Be involved in training cargo staff network-wide to use the cargo system. Be involved in system cut-over for new stations, interface with other systems, system service standardization. Assist the Senior Automation Officer in ensuring all stations are well equipped with all necessary hardware and software to perform the functionality in an appropriate manner. (100% online stations and high revenue offline stations to be automated). In consultation with the Senior Automation Officer, plan, schedule and train the staff throughout the network on the current system activities, and update them with all new entries or data functions (Train and assist network on new cargo system functions. Perform audit for all stations.) Co-ordinate with space control to ensure correct flight schedule is updated in the system (constantly monitor and verify database creation in the system). Liaise with space control to ensure accurate capacity data updated in the system in line with equipment changes (Co-ordinate accurate data capture at all levels of the process flow). Responsible to develop systems/procedures in coordination with handling agents to ensure smooth handling of cargo at all stations and assist stations in trouble shooting. (Assist and co-ordinate efforts with new ideas and goals for more automated process across the network). Co-ordinate with ULD Controller to ensure enough ULD control system operating perfectly (Ensure Handling Agent and sub partner system working perfectly) The successful candidate will have a minimum 1 year of airline work experience in the relevant field. Knowledge of Cargo reservations/acceptance/handling process. IATA/TACT Regulations. Excellent Computer operating skills. Good knowledge of English. Presentation skills.
