<p>Our customer is Europe’s largest privately owned Aerospace company, offering a wide variety of services to both military & Civil customers.</p> <p>Due to a period of significant growth they are seeking to appoint Quality Engineers to join their Cambridge operation.</p> <p><b>Purpose.</b></p> <p>Advert for Quality Assurance Engineer Staff.</p> <p>To meet the increased demand on Quality Assurance to support business growth and specifically to ensure continued compliance with core Quality Assurance responsibilities .</p> <p>Motivated individuals with a professional attitude and possessing a high level of integrity who are experienced in either Aircraft Maintenance or Investigations and who believe that they have the necessary attributes for what is undoubtedly a demanding but rewarding challenge are invited to apply.</p> <p>As a contributing member of a customer orientated organisation you will be responsible for the timely delivery of specific aspects of the quality assurance function within your respective department and in particular:</p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p> <p>· Ensuring, through a programme of audits, that the Quality System and Procedures are developed, established, maintained and monitored in their respective departments, where the absence of such systems would adversely affect the achievement of the required standards or compliance with the necessary Regulatory Authority or accreditation standards.</p> <p>· Investigating quality failures, identifying trends and conducting root cause analysis, proposing containment and corrective actions and following up the identified quality failures to verify that any necessary containment and corrective actions agreed have been implemented successfully and effectively.</p> <p>· Carrying out Compliance, System, Project and Sample audits particularly in respect to standard of work, standards of supply, adequate planning and certification documentation, tool control, prevention of damage to aircraft/components/assemblies and compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental requirements.</p> <p>· Ensuring that all applications for licensing, approvals and the renewal of approvals are reviewed for compliance with documented procedures prior to submission to the DHoQ.</p> <p>· Ensuring that MEDA and Customer Complaint investigations are conducted when required and reported to the Team Leader Quality Assurance - Investigations.</p> <p>· To assume the responsibilities of the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in his absence as directed by their Team Leader.</p> <p>· Perform Quality Assurance duties as defined by QA Management.</p> <p><b> </b></p> <p>· <b>The ideal candidate will posses:</b></p> <p>· ONC Level or 'A' Levels or Scottish Highers in job-related discipline, or equivalent advanced craft certificate (NVQ-3).</p> <p>· Corporate awareness, the implications of commercial imperatives and their impact on Quality Assurance.</p> <p>· An appropriate level of experience gained within a Quality Assurance, and/or Quality Control or Quality related vocation.</p> <p>· Specialised function, trade or craft knowledge gained within the Aircraft Maintenance, or Investigations environments acquired through advanced formal training.</p> <p>· Be able to demonstrate their ability to work under their own initiative whilst being a full participating member of the team.</p> <p>· Have good interpersonal skills both written and verbal possessing the ability to effectively communicate at all levels both within and external to the organisation.</p> <p>· Be computer literate with a sound working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point.</p> <p><b> </b></p> <p>Please contact Simon Portway for full details.</p> <p>· <i>Only candidates that possess the right and the appropriate documentation to live and work in the EU will be considered. </i></p> <p><i>Regrettably only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.</i></p>
