<p>DESIGN ENGINEER-NORTH WEST-£Excellent Package. <br />Our client based on the Cheshire/Lancashire borders,a leading systems supplier to the Aerospace sector are currently recruiting a design engineer REQUIREMENTS: The Design Engineer is a functional role within the design department involved in conceptual and detail design of aircraft undercarriages. Responsible to the Chief Designer the role will specifically involve: <br />* Conceptual design and feasibility <br />* Detailed design <br />* Qualification and manufacturing test equipment <br />* Design documentation <br />DESCRIPTION: Part of a major global aerospace group engineering mechanical aerospace systems, there is an interesting new opportunity for a permanent Design Engineer. This opportunity is in commutable range of Liverpool , Manchester, Warrington and Runcorn. <br />VAC REQ :Degree (2:1) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 1 full product life-cycle in mechanical engineering role (ideally in aerospace industry). <br /> <br />Strong working knowledge of: <br />* GDandT principles <br />* Structural systems and engineering <br />* Hydraulic systems and engineering <br /> <br />Experience with: <br />* Fatigue analysis, structural analysis, component sizing, FEA (structural and hydraulic), corrosion protection methods, metallisation processes, basic metallurgy knowledge and application to materials selection, forgings. <br />* NPD tools and methods: requirements engineering, stage-gate process, root-cause analysis, DfX methods, statistical analysis techniques (and Minitab) <br />* National and International aircraft design and testing standards engineer with Aeropscae experience.</p><p>Your CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
