<img src="http://counter.adcourier.com/c2ltb25wLjM4OTk5LjQyNEBhZXJvcGVvcGxlLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif" /><br /><p>Our customer is at the forefront of today's cutting edge Aerospace manufacturing industry.<br />With a global presence that offers a wide variety of composite component manufacturing solutions & aftercare products to an extensive list of customers that includes Airbus, Boeing & the MOD.<br />Due to an extensive period of growth & development they are seeking to appoint the services of a Centre Manager to join their operation based in the South Coast UK region.<br />This position is based in Cowes and reports directly to the VP of Technology and working alongside the facilitie's Development Chief Engineers. This role is pivotal in providing leadership and direction for all of the people and facilities associated with pre-production development, taking specific ownership of the manufacture of fully specified test hardware within the facility.<br />Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include but are not limited to:<br />? Ensure Health & Safety priorities and commitments are met in line with the Cowes Site H&S, to ensure the safe operation of the facility, appropriate controls and procedures are in place and adhered to;<br />? Overall responsibility for the facility equipment and the people within it, which today is in excess of 80 team members; <br />? Prioritisation of allocation of labour materials and resources across multiple programmes of work in conjunction with the Development Chief Engineers; <br />? Ensure technologies and capabilities developed within the facility are effectively disseminated back into the Technology organisation to avoid duplication and to ensure maximum leverage is gained from investment; <br />? Manage and support the establishment of new facilities as needed, work centre set-up, equipment commissioning, training and operation; <br />? Establish a QMS to satisfy the needs of the individual programmes as they mature from R&D into pre-production; and <br />? Work closely with Development Chief Engineers and Matrix Managers to ensure all aspects of staff development and career growth within the facility is accounted for. The ideal candidate will have proven track record of running a manufacturing development unit and should demonstrate a level of knowledge or supervisory experience in areas of design, tooling (design & manufacture), NC Programmable equipment and composite component manufacturing processes. <br />Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills are a pre-requisite for this position.<br />We are looking for candidates who are strong minded and committed who are able to embody vision and engage people in the delivery of that vision. <br />Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will need to be capable of interfacing professionally at all levels of the business.<br />Some key skills that are essential for this role are strong leadership, ability to build rapport, and a background which will give the incumbent a good level of understanding of the technical aspects of the CTAL projects. <br />This person will need to be the negotiator between the different departments and assist with resource, materials and machine management.<br />Candidates must have an Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification and experience in driving a large team to meet customer delivery requirements on time and within budget<br /><br />An attractive annual salary & package will accompany this position, relocation is also available.<br />Contact Simon Portway for full details.<br />Applications from EU candidates are welcome.<br />Regrettably only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.</p>
