TOOLING DESIGN ENGINEER - COMPOSITES

<p>Our client requires an experienced &nbsp;TOOLING DESIGN ENGINEER to support key Composites Projects in Co Down, Northern Ireland. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp; JOB PURPOSE: The job holder will be responsible for the design, management and maintenance of all &nbsp;tooling activities within Composites. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES: &nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>? To design composite tooling for manufacture, through internal &amp; external resources. ? Provide expert consultation to the IPT (Integrated Product Team) across the facility on all tooling related issues. ? Generate technical documentation, specifications &amp; tooling standards for external vendors. ? Program management of tooling projects, advising on vendor selection, budgetary control and acceptance &amp; commissioning. ? Supervise activities of tool maintenance personnel within a tool repair shop. ? Drive continuous improvement in tooling methods &amp; strategies. ? Recommend alterations &amp; enhancements to improve quality of products and procedures. ? Other duties as deemed relevant to the position.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA &nbsp;</p> <p>? 2+ years working experience in a tooling engineer role. ? 1+ years working experience in 2D &amp; 3D modelling. ? &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; EU Member Passport Holder. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>DESIRABLE CRITERIA&nbsp; ? &nbsp;</p> <p>Third level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline. ? 1+ years working experience of composite production techniques &amp; processes. ? 3+ years working experience in a tool manufacturing environment.&nbsp; ? 3+ years working experience of working with external vendors to deliver tooling packages.&nbsp;</p>
