Trade Compliance Officer

<p>To assist in promoting and implementing Trade Compliance within DAVAO in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.</p> <p>To act as the Contact &amp; Interface for the allocated DAVAO Business segment(s) between the Departments, Management, Industrial Partners and the Customers.</p> <p>To assist &amp; support the Line Manager (LM) by performance of the compliance activities within the Trade Compliance Practitioner Team (PT) and other Departments</p> <p>Principal Relationships:</p> <p>? External - BIS, HMR&amp;C, MoD, FCO, various Service Providers - Freight Forwarder/Couriers, Suppliers, Customers/End Users<br /> ? Internal - All Departments, Staff at all levels</p> <p>Key Responsibilities and Tasks:</p> <p>To review all trade compliance documentation as directed by the LM eg. CECCs, End User Statements, DSPs, other supplier licences, TAAs, MLAs, Sales Orders/Contracts and Purchase Orders/Subcontracts/Purchase Agreements to establish trade compliance requirements and to ensure that all relevant information has been included.</p> <p>To assist in internal and external compliance audits; investigate and report all potential problems/violations to the LM.</p> <p>To ensure all exports &amp; imports are processed smoothly, in a timely manner, within a compliant framework consistent with business objectives and all national &amp; international trade compliance laws and regulations.</p> <p>To ensure that goods are delivered in compliance with export licenses and international regulations and that communication, transportation and storage rules resulting from the regulations concerned are duly complied with.</p> <p>To assist the LM in the implementation of the UK Trade Compliance Programme.</p> <p>To assist in creation and implementation of procedures, guidelines and manuals for the use of PT &amp; other department to ensure consistency of approach and compliant action.</p> <p>To assist in establishment and maintenance of a comprehensive trade compliance training programme to ensure sufficient levels of knowledge and expertise within PT &amp; other departments.</p> <p>To assist in the creation and management of an appropriate and comprehensive internal trade compliance assessment programme to ensure high levels of compliance within the PT &amp; other departments.</p>
