Emirates Tours is an employee-focused company committed to providing our staff with competitive salaries, excellent working conditions and opportunities to progress. </b> </p><p><b>The Position: Temporary Finance Officer</b> </p><p>Based in our London Town Office and working under the direction of the Finance Manager, you will assist in supervising all aspects and functions of the finance team, providing cover and training as necessary. You will ensure that all necessary data is accurately transferred from the booking to the finance systems, bookings have been invoiced as per the T&C, income and costs are controlled and take responsibility for the Sales ledger and investigate discrepancies. </p><p>You will also prepare statutory and regulatory reports and ensure monthly reports are generated, follow up on any exceptions, make recommendations, identify risks and opportunities and provide solutions and prepare and process the monthly payroll and pension contributions. </p><p><b>Experience and Qualifications:</b> </p><p>You must be educated up to GCE 'A' Level or equivalent and have a recognized accountancy qualification or have financial accounts experience as well as strong accounting skills and knowledge, preferably gained within the Tour Operator/Travel Industry. You will be able to demonstrate experience in supervising a finance function and coaching and developing staff and an ability to plan and organise a busy workload. You should have an appreciation of the concept of customer service with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. </p><p><b>Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the UK</b>.
