If you are a high performer, seeking unparalleled career opportunities, join the Emirates team and help us create the future of travel. <br /> <br /><b>The Position: </b>To Carry out catering loading checks in Dubai and be the central point of contact, 24/7, for addressing all catering operational issues arising on the day of operations to achieve safe, efficient, cost effective and timely catering handling for all Emirates flights across the network. <br /> <br /><b>Job Outline <br /></b> </p><ul> <li>Be the central point of contact for catering issues arising on the day of operations (flight disruptions / diversions / delays, etc., 24/7 for Network Control and Logistics, and worldwide caterers,) to manage these disruption, re-plan catering uplifts and execute these plans through contractors to minimize impact to onboard product and service levels <br /> </li><li>Discuss and agree actions with caterers on resolving issues faced by responding to a range of standard and unforeseen situations, to manage day to day catering operations effectively, efficiently with a minimum impact to customer service on board. <br /> </li><li>Monitor Emirates flight movements (departures/arrivals), including Emirates freighters on shift basis, and closely liaise with Caterers to ensure that operational priorities are pro-actively and efficiently handled by caterers to achieve smooth and timely catering handling. <br /> </li><li>Initiate investigation on any network-wide catering related flight delays, aircraft incidents/accidents due to catering handling and reported suspected food allergies in-flight, in liaison with Catering Contractors and Airport Services Managers, in order to establish early findings, take action as appropriate and report to Operations Management Team. <br /> </li><li>Check and verify catering uplifts; food (including special meals) equipment, bars and passenger amenities that are prepared for flights during the shift, ensuring caterers meet Emirates specifications and follow up through to despatch & loading on to aircraft. Carry out checks to verify documentation tallies with delivery. <br /> </li><li>Monitors the operational performance of outstations catering contractors network-wide, by carrying out inbound physical flight audits on arrivals on the aircraft and communicating with Flight Pursers, in order to provide regular performance feedback to 3rd party Catering Contractors. Record caterer performance in the Performance Management system in support of monitoring and tracking caterer performance. <br /> </li><li>Carry out detailed checks (1 flight/ shift) onboard departure flights to monitor EKFC compliance to Ready to Board requirements. Maintain records of these checks and initiate corrective action where necessary, through Catering Specialist ? Operations. <br /> </li><li>Carry out random pre-departure aircraft checks on board in order to ensure all in-flight service related equipment is available and serviceable. Address irregularities with base caterers. <br /> </li><li>Respond to crew feedback on operational matters, by reviewing, discussing and rectifying process where necessary, whilst ensuring minimum disruption to catering handling and service standards. <br /> </li><li>Advise, train and audit caterers (current and new) on location ensuring Emirates Catering Contractors are fully conversant with EK Catering Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to the same to achieve safe, effective and efficient handling/handover of catering to Emirates flights. </li> </ul> <p><b>Salary & Benefits:</b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66.
