If you are a high performer, seeking unparalleled career opportunities, join the Emirates team and help us create the future of travel.<b> <br /> <br />The Position:</b> </p><p>The job holder is responsible for the definition, orchestration, delivery, monitoring and continuous improvement of all end-to-end IT services to the Emirates Groups businesses. These end-to-end IT services can consist of a variety of technical and application services provided by different external suppliers/partners or internal IT service providers. <br />Manage the complexity of the service integration from the variety of internal and external specialist service providers so that the business gets a single owner for end-to-end IT services. <br />Support growth of the Emirates Group by providing fit for purpose and scalable IT services for all of Emirates Groups business operations. <br />Continuously improve value for IT investment by driving unit cost savings in IT services and improvements in service levels across the internal and external service providers. <br />Be an active member of the IT Executive Leadership team and lead the IT organisation as a team and contribute to the overall success of IT and the growth of the external business. <br /> <br /><b>Job Outline:</b> <b> </b></p><p>1. Orchestrate and provide end-to-end IT services enabling the Business to have a single service provider for IT Services. Leverage capabilities of specialist solution providers and abstract the complexity from the business. Propose and implement technology improvement, optimisation, rationalisation, automation and replacement initiatives to keep operations up to date, reliable and cost effective. </p><p>2. Direct and run the command centre for all end-to-end IT services for all business units of Emirates Group. Monitor mission critical IT services that support all of Emirates Groups business operations. Proactively identify any issues with critical IT services and address them to ensure safe and stable business operations. </p><p>3. Ensure timely resolution of IT incidents that might affect business operations. Address situational awareness, conflicts and prioritisation issues between Business Units, Software Engineering, Infrastructure Management, network service providers, application service suppliers and infrastructure service suppliers. </p><p>4. Manage IT services strategy covering all application and infrastructure services in production. Assess internal and external service provider performance and work out strategic sourcing options to improve service quality and effectiveness. Collaborate with Strategic Services to define the current state, future state and service sourcing strategy. Drive implementation of the agreed sourcing strategy by effectively providing the IT organisation with manpower sourcing services. </p><p>5. Manage all IT service costs to run the business, drive unit cost savings and value for the investment. Evaluate costs directly managed by Service Management, operational costs in Software Engineering, infrastructure costs in Infrastructure and IT costs in the business. Prioritise and agree areas of cost improvement with the business and drive cost management initiatives to support growth the business operations. </p><p>6. Manage overall risks for production services provided by internal and external service providers. Agree the risk mitigation plans with Business Technology Solutions, IT Executives, Internal Audit and other stakeholders. Drives the risk mitigation actions by the department, internal service providers and external suppliers. </p><p>7. Define and manage IT service continuity strategy for business critical operations. Facilitate business continuity management strategy definition by the Business. Agree service disruption and disaster scenarios with Business and IT Management. Plan, execute and monitor service continuity drills. Maintain Business Continuity plans for Emirates Group IT. Implement strategies to ensure that all IT services have sufficient resilience and reliability in the event of failures. Continually evaluate and implement cost effective, resilience, off- site backup and disaster recovery solutions in line with business needs. </p><p>8. Responsible for the service level management strategy for all IT services. Agree end-to-end service level objectives with the business and operating level agreement between teams in IT and external providers. Ensure that new services being introduced by Business Technology Solutions have been adequately tested, can meet the expected service level requirements and can scale up to meet growth requirements. Monitor service level compliance and regularly report to business and IT management. Constantly look for service level improvement opportunities and run Service Improvement Programmes (SIP) together with the supplying unit for the delivered services. </p><p>9. Accountable for Service Request Management and Capacity Management across the Emirates Group and in collaboration with IT Infrastructure management, ensure that these services are managed to agreed SLAs. </p><p>10. Establish career development plans and training for direct reports and provide appropriate mentoring and coaching. Conduct timely annual and interim PM! Reviews and set SMART objectives to cultivate a culture of high performance. Ensure that technical resources are committed to the delivery of the work programme and reviewed, reprioritised as required. <br /> <br /><b>Salary & Benefits:</b> </p><p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund and it has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1="Dh3.66."
