If you are a high performer, seeking unparalleled career opportunities, join the Emirates team and help us create the future of travel.<b> <br /> <br />The Position:</b> To monitor flights on the EK network, evaluate Group requests and provide seats throughout the year for various seasons at the right price. To monitor passenger and fare forecasts on point of sale OD's and flights and ensure distressed inventory is optimaly considered for groups. <br /><b></b> </p><p><b>Job Outline:</b> </p><p><b> Flight Monitoring </b> </p><ul> <li>Achieve seat factor and revenue factor targets through the control of overbooking and class-mix. Set and maintain PROS system parameters for flight management. Monitor flights where there is potential for revenue enhancement or reduction in Direct Operating Costs. Monitor holiday traffic and group bookings on all future departures to ensure that optimum seats are protected for high yield passengers. </li><li>Control the occurrence and extent of denied boarding through a review of flight levels. Review flights for opportunities to enhance revenue through upgrades and aircraft swaps. <br />O&D Management & Point of Sale Control </li><li>Ensure passenger and fare forecasts for specified point of sale O&D's are within tolerance levels. Study market intelligence and booking growth in specific markets and action changes to passenger and fare forecasts. </li><li>Action Point of sale control exception reports and ensure sufficient seats are protected for targeted sales areas. Assist the line manager in establishing and maintaining O&D point of sale control. </li> </ul> <p><b> Data Analysis </b> </p><ul> <li>Analyze monitoring systems and reports and provide inputs to the line Manager to refine them through testing and scenario planning. </li><li>Conduct testing of new processes/ procedures identified by line manager and highlight bottlenecks in the operation. Provide guidance and direction to the flight analysis coordinators. </li> </ul> <p><b> Groups Management </b> </p><ul> <li>Evaluate groups and approve group pricing (online and interline) based on group displacement costs and space for adhoc group requests. </li><li>Support the line Manager in handling group traffic, follow up on time limits, establish control mechanisms on deposits etc, to ensure maximum utilisation of space and revenue. Analyse the revenue retention to EK on group fares using SPA's/ Proration systems. </li> </ul> <p><b> Pricing </b> </p><ul> <li>Provide the EK network with competitive fares and pricing support, which promotes sales and maximises network revenue and yield. </li><li>Utilising data from various sources, in constant liaison with the local sales offices. </li><li>Ensure that Area Managers, Local Sales Offices and Revenue Accounting are familiar with Commercial Pricing policies and procedures and price the EK product accordingly. </li><li>Perform comprehensive evaluation and analysis of all online fare proposals received from various Area Managers, EK local sales offices and general sales agents and approve, disapprove or negotiate and recommend appropriate action vis a vis pricing authorization. </li><li>Carry out in-depth analysis of travel agency productivity based, incentive schemes and recommend appropriate action or alternative options to Sales Management, prior to their implementation. </li><li>Evaluate productivity based, corporate agreements based on performance criteria, including anticipated market share, issue approvals or recommendation for appropriate action. </li><li>Proactively develop other competitive and marketable pricing products, such as airpass schemes, added value programmes, "companion" offers, etc., which support revenue/yield objectives and convey the merits and unique selling points of such products to the local sales offices. </li><li>Develop, maintain and distribute to the local sales offices, pricing output in the form of circulars, agreements, website updates, etc. which contain detailed instructions on the application of all pricing plans/programs. </li><li>In collaboration with the local sales offices and Pricing Distribution, investigate and establish optimum distribution strategy for each point of sale using GDS, "Private" GDS facilities, "Online" booking facilities, email, paper distribution etc. </li><li>Using various electronic data sources and input from local sales offices, assess competitor activity, recommend and prepare competitive responses aimed at retaining market share and optimising revenue. </li><li>On an ongoing basis evaluate market trends, forward bookings, competitor behaviour, performance of past initiatives and offer proactive recommendations as to pricing actions aimed at supporting local sales office revenue targets. </li><li>Offer guidance, assistance and coaching in Pricing "best practices" to Pricing Officers and other staff responsible for pricing activity at local sales office level. </li> </ul> <p><b>Salary & Benefits: </b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66. By viewing the 'Dubai Lifestyle' section in the site you can also consider the benefits of Dubai as a location to live and work in. <br /> <br /> <br /><b>Experience and Qualifications:</b> </p><ul> <li>Honours Degree preferrably in Mathematics or Statistics. </li><li>5 years Airline experience of which at least 3 years should have been within Reservation/ticket desk. </li><li>Exposure to airline revenue management principles & sales would be an advantage </li><li>Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to work with people at all levels and across different cultural boundaries. </li><li>PC literate with exposure to automation. </li><li>Proven Analytical skills with the ability to perform statistical analysis of various business situations for revenue enhancement. </li><li>Working knowledge of procedures for establishing passenger fares and passenger proration methodologies is essential. </li> </ul> <p><b>To Apply: </b>To express your interest in the above vacancy please apply on-line by clicking below, and complete our application form.
