<br /> <p><b>Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) is </b>a joint venture between the Emirates Group and CAE Inc of Canada — a world leader in the field of aircraft simulators, located in the Emirates Aviation College campus, near Dubai International airport. ECFT is the first facility of its kind in the Middle East to be approved by Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards and U.A.E (GCAA) Standards. ECFT works in close collaboration with more than 20 different national aviation authorities to ensure that the later specific requirements are fulfilled in addition to the requirements of JAA, FAA and GCAA. </p><p><b>Job Responsibilities </b> </p><p>As part of the Technical Services group, this incumbent is the technical point-of-contact for all issues pertaining to the simulator technicians and engineers.<b> </b> </p><p><b>CUSTOMER SERVICE & SUPPORT: </b> </p><ul> <li>Establish and maintain effective relationships with customer and gain their trust and respect. </li><li>Ensure that all incoming and outgoing communication from the customer is addressed in a timely and effective manner (be the contact person for all technical issues related to simulator maintenance). </li><li>Ensure that all incoming and outgoing communication from the customer is addressed in a timely and effective manner (be the contact person for all technical issues related to simulator maintenance). </li><li>Monitor simulator discrepancies and ensure that they are prioritized and corrected in a timely manner. </li><li>Monitor and assure all simulators ready for training. </li><li>Plan and coordinate daily activities and work assignments along with future projects in order to minimize customer impact; </li><li>Identify and track recurring and potential system problems and confer with technical experts and colleagues to formulate working plans to alleviate problems. </li> </ul> <p><b>LEADERSHIP: </b> </p><ul> <li>Inspire a teamwork climate to accomplish and exceed customer expectations. </li><li>Inspire harmonious staff relations and common objectives to get the best out of each staff member. </li><li>Inform/communicate and delegate tasks and responsibilities with transparency and follow-up. </li><li>Provide overall staff guidance, direction and leadership to ensure that equipment reliability remains at peak performance in support of internal and external clients. </li><li>Assist in recruiting, hiring and developing of staff to achieve departmental objectives (qualified devices, snag counts, reports, etc). </li> </ul> <p><b>ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES & REPORTING: </b> </p><ul> <li>Coordinate schedules with technicians and assist in the generation of monthly schedules to provide sufficient coverage. </li><li>Communicate to manager all important and priority items that have arisen from the technical operation arising from either the simulator technicians or the customer; </li><li>Assist Manager with annual performance reviews of the simulator technicians; </li><li>Coordinate with any necessary personnel (CAE, vendors, etc) to obtain parts and assistance to support operations in a timely and cost effective manner; </li><li>Participate in the monthly production of the Executive Summary Report </li> </ul> <p><b>Experience and Qualifications </b> </p><ul> <li>Engineering degree or Technical diploma or equivalent related training. </li><li>Ten years direct simulator experience with at least five years on CAE equipment </li><li>Must have at least 5 years of Managerial/Supervisory position in Simulator Technical support environment </li><li>Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Ability to make quality decisions and recommendations on technical aspects and pertaining to human resources issues. </li><li>Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Ability to make quality decisions and recommendations on technical aspects and pertaining to human resources issues. </li><li>Proven ability to create and foster a teamwork climate in which people want to do their best. </li><li>Motivate and develop direct reports; excellent leadership skills to steadfastly push self and others to reach and surpass expectations. </li><li>Empower employees; share ownership and visibility; listen and invite input from each employee. </li><li>Solid technical background and familiarity with technical simulator issues on all different systems, specifically: motion, visual, avionics, hydraulics, etc. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the customer; to gain their trust and respect. </li><li>Ability to make quality and timely decisions that are bottom-line oriented. </li><li>Ability to prepare a work plan and/or schedule and to allocate resources to meet budget objectives in a timely manner. </li> </ul> <p> </p><p><b>Salary & Benefits: </b>We offer an attractive salary, commensurate to the local travel services market.
