There is an AOG rota which is currently paid at £150 per week when on stand by and then extra if called out. <br />Our client has an opportunity for a Test Support Engineer to work within the Engineering Department. <br />The key responsibilities of this role are: Manage/support the completion of calibration and maintenance of equipment and instrumentation within their UK test facilities. <br />Support/lead the design, development and commissioning of test bench improvements and new test capabilities. <br />Provide technical support to the operational testers to resolve problems with the test benches, rigs and facilities and to overcome non-routine test issues with the products (including hydraulic and fuel test). <br />Provide technical supervision and training for the test operators to ensure the required OEM qualification standards are met. <br />Ensure that gas turbine/air test facilities comply with the relevant environmental, health and safety standards and that all testing is performed in a safe and responsible manner. <br />Provide Out of Hours Emergency Cover to assist on Site Services AOG (13 week per year). <br />You must have a mechanical/electrical background and have achieved a HNC/Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering or hydraulic technology. You should also have strong experience in product engineering and test rig/cell experience ideally within an aerospace environment. You will have excellent computer skills and the ability to fault diagnose complex mechanical/electrical breakdowns. <br />Experience of gas turbines, Labview Programming, ATEX/DSEAR, Cooling Tower Legionella and AutoCAD drawing would be considered an advantage.If this is of interest to you, please contact Jamie Ali on 01329 232221 or send your CV to J.Ali@protectechnical.co.uk
