They will be engaged in systems engineering activities associated with the development and delivery of weapons carriage and release systems and aerial refuelling probes. This is a leadership role, heading a cross functional technical team. <br /> <br />Duties within the role will include specifying, developing and qualifying systems and equipment in line with developing business and customer needs throughout the project lifecycle for various Auxiliary Mission Equipment projects. <br /> <br />The majority of the work will be carried out at Mission Equipment's purpose built engineering facility in Dorset. Occasional (infrequent) travel may be required. <br /> <br />As a Lead Systems Engineer your key responsibilities will include: <br />Provide technical leadership to a multi-disciplinary team (including systems, design, performance, ILS and safety engineers) <br />Requirements capture, allocation, derivation, validation and verification <br />Preparation of specifications and other project documentation <br />System; sub-system and equipment architecture definition; design and analysis <br />Interface definition and management <br />System integration <br />Risk management <br />Resolution of technical issues during design, development, test, production and in-service <br />Technical management of external suppliers <br />Qualification of equipment and systems <br />Liaison with customers, internal and external <br />Liaison with specialists such as design, performance and ILS engineers <br />Demonstrate adherence to company technical governance processes <br /> <br /> <br />As a Lead Systems Engineer your experience and qualifications will ideally include <br />Qualified to degree level (or equivalent plus relevant experience) in mechanical, electro-mechanical or aerospace engineering <br />5 years + experience in an aerospace environment within systems & new product development <br />Experience of weapons carriage and release systems would be an advantage <br />Understanding and experience of systems engineering processes including: <br />Development and certification of complex systems (ARP4754) <br />Systems engineering lifecycle processes (ISO15288). <br />Experience of requirements management using tools such as DOORS or Cradle <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />If this is position is of interest to you, please contact JP O'Hare or Jamie Ali on 01329 232 221.
