Their UK operation based on the South Coast specialise in Motion Control, Electrical Sensing & Controls, Fuel Systems and Hydraulics. <br /> <br />Due to unprecedented demand globally for their solutions a new Lead Engineer is immediately required with an extensive background in the design & development of AC/DC electric motors for a variety of applications, electromagnetic brakes & solenoids and transformers. This is a senior role within a small, highly motivated team of specialist that support the larger engineering department. <br /> <br />To be successful engineers would have to have experience of: <br /> <br />?Brushed, Brushless DC motor and variants design and analysis <br />?Induction motor and rotor variants design and analysis <br />?Detailed Stator and Rotor design and design for manufacture/design for assembly <br />?Rotating machine Thermal design and analysis <br />?Engineering degree or equivalent with strong technical problem solving skills <br />?Transformer, Rectifier and wound component Inductors, chokes) design and analysis <br />?SPEED, Ansys, Maxwell (or other industry recognised tool) modelling and simulation tools <br />?SABER, Matlab/Simulink or similar digital prototyping tools <br />?Technical report authoring <br />?Good and practical understanding of design techniques for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) <br />?Motor design for the Aerospace Industry. <br />?Knowledge of DO-160 standard for airborne equipment <br /> <br />This is an excellent opportunity to join a world leader who invest heavily in the development of their people and can offer international travel, final salary pension scheme, private healthcre, annual bonus and a 'pick & choose flexible benefits package'. <br /> <br />For further information regarding this role or to apply, please contact Chris Harvey on 01905 368576 / 07983 472005 or email chris.harvey@rtc.co.uk quoting reference J5682.
