This is an outstanding opportunity due to growth our client requires a Chartered Occupational or Research Psychologist to coordinate and direct the research function of the Human Performance Department. <br /> <br />Role: <br />As Chartered Occupational or Research Psychologist you will be required to concentrate on developing research, validation and accreditation of the bespoke package of ADAPT screening, selection and assessment tools. This responsibility will include gaining accreditation with the BPS and ISO, devising and conducting discrete research pieces to drive product development and new research areas and conducting validation of current data to produce a comprehensive technical manual. <br /> <br />You will also be responsible for publishing papers and presenting ongoing work and findings in professional arenas and academic conferences. You will be required to collaborate by meeting, advising and liaising with other psychologists and professionals. Additionally you will be required to be involved with the training, supervising or mentoring of fellow team members, sharing skills and expertise to assist in their development. <br /> <br />Person: <br />Essentially the Chartered Occupational or Research Psychologist will have BPS accredited degree in Psychology, be a BPS Qualified Chartered Occupational Psychologist and be eligible or registered with HPC. You must have demonstrable experience of understanding data validation and statistics, current research skills and knowledge and team management / leadership. To have experience of personality questionnaire development would be highly desirable. In addition you must have proven experience of applying scientific, psychological principles and understanding to consultancy and research-based projects in a commercial setting is essential. You must have strong Information Technology skills to include SPSS. <br /> <br />Experience in the aviation or defence industry would be a real advantage. To have or be able to gain basic security clearance would also be desirable. Based in the South West the Chartered Occupational or Research Psychologist must be prepared to travel UK Nationwide or Worldwide (if required) in line with business requirements. <br /> <br />Due to the high volume of applications received we are unable to respond to every applicant.
