<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p> <p>Part of the Aerodynamic group, your function will be to analyse flight characteristics to ensure good aircraft handling qualities and contributes to the development of new, modified or derivative aircraft and supports continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft.</p> <p>Actively participates in flight testing activities and closely interacts with regulatory authorities to ensure safety and compliance to airworthiness requirements.</p> <p>The following are your typical tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Sizing of flight control surfaces</li> <li>Preparing and executing wind tunnel (if required) and flight test plans</li> <li>Analysing and processing simulation & test data</li> <li>Participating in flight test planning, execution and analysis, including pre and post flight briefing/debriefing</li> <li>Writing and reviewing reports which demonstrate flight characteristic compliance with airworthiness regulations</li> <li>Planning and conducting desk top or pilot-in-the-loop simulations to determine consequences of design changes and failure cases on aircraft handling characteristics</li> <li>Developing and applying new technologies and methodologies</li> <li>The stability and control team interacts closely with the flight simulation, fly-by-wire, systems, aircraft/engine performance groups, flight test crews and external suppliers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p> <p>University degree in Aeronautical Discipline or equivalent.</p> <p>Minimum of 10 - 12 years of Aerodynamic and Stability & Control experience.</p> <p>Very familiar with flight test procedures and requirements.</p> <p>FAA and/or EASA Certification processes and procedures. </p> <p>Have knowledge of aircraft systems and operations</p> <p>Good communication skills</p>
