<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p> <p>Part of The Acoustic & Vibration Group. Your role is to provide interior cabin noise assessments and exterior noise certification for aircraft under development and in production, conform to the updated regulations/requirements.</p> <p>The candidate will be principally involved in the development of vibro-acoustic models using the Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) method. The candidate will be asked to evaluate cabin noise for new aircraft designs, perform strategic technology projects related to cabin noise, and troubleshoot aircraft in production and in service.</p> <p>Your main tasks will be:</p> <ul> <li>Develop vibro-acoustic models of aircraft using Statistical Energy Analysis.</li> <li>Optimization of passive insulation treatments in the interior design through modelling and testing. Use and develop numerical tools to elaborate design solutions for future aircraft development. Study noise and vibration problems, and develop solutions on production aircraft fleet.</li> <li>Investigation of systems noise problems.</li> <li>Participation in acoustics and vibration testing, on ground and in flight. Analysis of noise and vibration test data.</li> <li>Production of cabin noise and vibration surveys and reports.</li> <li>Interact with in-house technical groups and external vendors.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p> <ul> <li>The candidate should have a Master degree in Acoustics and Vibration engineering</li> <li>Experience in aerospace or with transportation vehicles is an asset.</li> <li>The candidate should have knowledge in the following area:</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Autonomous with Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA).</li> <li>Acoustics and vibration theoretical fundamentals.</li> <li>Acoustics and vibration testing and analysis procedures.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of modelling with Finite Elements (FEM), Boundary Elements (BEM), and Ray Tracing.</li> <li>Must be available to travel on short term assignments.</li> <li>Must be able to communicate in French and English, both spoken and written with good interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Experience of the following platforms is an asset:</li> <li>Equipment: Bruel & Kjaer, LMS, and Head Acoustics</li> <li>Software: Matlab, Nastran, Virtual Lab</li> </ul>
