Cost / Value Improvement Engineers

<p>Cost / Value Improvement Engineers are required on a contract basis to lead development of component/sub system cost models (Inc. User Friendly Cost Standards) using Value Improvement &amp; Engineering tools &amp; techniques as appropriate. &nbsp;Ensure that User Friendly Cost Standards are generated and deployed in line with global Commodity Strategy. &nbsp;Responsible for identifying &amp; developing cost reduction opportunities and prioritising to deliver timely target cost – through engagement within the supply chain.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<br /> Key Experiences and any Qualifications:</p> <p>•Significant technical &amp; Manufacturing knowledge of allocated commodity.<br /> •Engineering degree or equivalent.<br /> •Understanding of lean principles.<br /> •Understanding of principles of finance.<br /> •Sound understanding of cost drivers.<br /> •Ability to generate cost models.<br /> •Ability to provide technical and professional leadership to a global community.<br /> •Global outlook and exposure to different challenges &amp; cultures.<br /> •Experience of leading/working within cross-functional teams.<br /> •Proven track record in delivering results in favourable and unfavourable conditions.<br /> •Ability to build personal and professional networks.</p> <p>Candidates with experience in Value Improvement / Cost Engineering within Aerospace and Nuclear Industry background &nbsp;are invited to apply for long term contract positions with good rates of pay.
