Cargo Operations Duty Manager - Emirates SkyCargo

<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will direct and manage all cargo operational activities while leading the team of operations staff deployed in shifts at the Dubai World Central Airport and Dubai Airport EK SkyCargo Hub and Cargo Terminals, in order to process and move cargo, courier and mail globally, on the Emirates network while protecting and enhancing system-wide Cargo revenue generation objectives.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> He/she will be responsible for managing operational efficiencies, optimizing both Passenger and Freighter capacity usage, conforming to safety, security standards and maintaining schedule integrity, to provide the highest level of service quality standards on a 24/7 shift basis.</p> <p><br /> Qualifications &amp; Experience<br /> &nbsp;<br /> •Must have a Degree or equivalent.<br /> •Advanced Diploma in Logistics &amp; Operations Management is preferred.<br /> •8+ years experience in Airport Cargo Operations with Supervisory level experience in managing a large workforce and optimising resources, with a minimum of 3 years of experience at a Managerial level.<br /> •Working knowledge of aircraft handling including Weight and Balance, cargo load planning, Dangerous Good Regulations and ramp handling.<br /> •Knowledge of Cargo terminal handling with automated and computerised operations and communications systems.<br /> •Awareness of global and national legislative governing import and export of goods by air.<br /> •Must have strong motivational and interpersonal abilities and the ability to work independently.<br /> •Must have strong analytical skills, ability to work under pressure and take quick decisions.</p> <p>Salary &amp; Benefits:<br /> We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
