NDT Technician (Engine Overhaul)

<p><br /> Job Purpose</p> <p>Emirates, one of the world’s fastest growing airlines, is constructing an Emirates Engine Overhaul facility for the overhaul of GE90 and GP7200 engines that power the Emirates B777 and A380 aircraft.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Presently under construction and scheduled to be operational in the third quarter of 2014; the Engine Overhaul Shop will provide Emirates with the maintenance capabilities needed to assure continued safe operation of the Emirates fleet. Emirates partner; GE is overseeing the design and construction of the facility; utilising the most advanced technology; equipment and industry best practices in managing engine overhaul and repairs.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> We are looking for experienced NDT Technicians with engine testing experience to fill roles within the new Engine Maintenance Centre.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> The successful candidates will carry out Non-Destructive Testing as directed by the NDT Superintendent when required on components in the engine workshop. They will also be responsible for the day to day running of NDT Laboratory equipment and systems, as directed by the NDT Superintendent, ensuring they are maintained and operating as required.</p> <p>Qualifications &amp; Experience</p> <p>•Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)<br /> •At least 5 years relevant experience<br /> •Must have PCN Level 2 in at least two NDT methods (preferrably Penetrant and Magnetic Particle methods)<br /> •Will be required to pass an annual physical test as required by the Engineering Procedures Manual</p> <p>&nbsp;<br /> Salary &amp; Benefits:<br /> We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
