<p>Provide leadership and direction to ATC staff members in achieving their individual objectives.</p> <p>Develop Area control procedures (Local ATS Instructions) according to GCAA regulations, ICAO documentation and operational instructions to prevent collisions between aircraft.</p> <p>Ensure that Local ATS Instructions are being applied in a correct and uniform manner.</p> <p>Ensure that all ATC equipment and services are operational and functional as tasked by the GCAA/ANS.</p> <p>Assist in development of fall-back procedures for use in case of failures in the ATC display, sensor, communications, power supply, fire suppression, security and environmental systems.</p> <p>Liaise and interact closely with Safety Management to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and secure their input on new procedures and updated versions of the procedural manual.</p> <p>Establish agreements with other emergency Search and Rescue (SAR) units in order to track search & rescue alerts and activities.</p> <p>Participate when necessary in operational design reviews to ensure that equipment and systems satisfy future ATM requirements.</p> <p>Oversee the provision of necessary data for the invoicing and collection of revenue from GCAA airspace users.</p> <p>Oversee that all data in systems is extracted and analysed for maintaining and enhancing ATC operations.</p> <p>Provide reports to the GCAA of all routine and non-routine operational matters in the timescale and format required by the GCAA.</p> <p>Oversee the process of scheduling and ensuring optimal implementation of watch/leave rosters for ATCOs with the view to ensure proper watch manning at all times.</p> <p>Ensure the flow of traffic is safe, orderly and expeditious so as to prevent collision while maximising utilisation.</p> <p>Undertake and document safety assessments of new facilities, procedures, systems and services as tasked by ANS.</p> <p>Oversee the management of investigations into ATC occurrences ensuring that they are completed in an accurate and timely manner.</p> <p>Oversee the currency of ATC licences, medical checks, English Language Proficiency, ATC Endorsements and Certificates of Competence in respect of all operational ACC staff.</p> <p>Counselling, training and disciplinary actions for ATC staff to ensure that they comply with ATM operating standards.</p> <p>Represent the GCAA in meetings with officials of government bodies, airports, airlines, Military authorities and others at the discretion of GCAA, either locally or abroad</p> <p>The jobholder is guided significantly by regulations, ICAO documentation and the UAE Civil Aviation Regulations and is authorised to make operational changes not affecting Letters of Agreement.</p> <p>Responsible for supporting the DATM in matters concerning ATS that affect the daily operational running of Emirates ACC services under the jurisdiction of GCAA/ANS.</p> <p> </p>
