Manager Base Heavy Maintenance

<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>As the Manager, Base Heavy Maintenance you will ensure that all scheduled and non-scheduled heavy maintenance is conducted in an efficient, safe and to the highest possible standards. Your responsibilities will also include work associated special project i.e. cabin configuration changes and major equipment/system installations. The responsibility will be to carry out such activities on the company current and future fleet type. Responsible for identifying areas to increase productivity and in-house capabilities within Base Maintenance.</p> <p>Job Outline:</p> <p>- Ensure that sufficient resources and manpower are available to perform and carry out the relevant maintenance activities.</p> <p>-Ensure that control of human resources in terms of discipline and training is of a sufficiently high standard to achieve maximum standard of quality and productivity at all times.</p> <p>- Establish the training level of the resources and ensure the implementation of such training.</p> <p>- Identify a future need in terms of equipment and resources to meet the fleet expansion and third party expansion plans.</p> <p>- Ensure that an accident free environment for aircraft and personnel within Base Maintenance is achieved.</p> <p>- Establish a most effective and efficient roster considering nature of the work, complexity resources limitation and human errors.</p> <p>- Review and monitor performance and standard through reliability reports to ensure that maximum efficiency and production is achieved.</p> <p>- Liase and co-ordinate closely with Base Light Maintenance Manager to share resource, knowledge and support each other's area manpower to the maximum benefit of the company.</p> <p>- Administer the staff and monitor the leaves to ensure compliance with company standards.</p> <p>- Ensure compliance to safety rules and continuously provide recommendation to improve maintenance practices and avoid injury to personnel and damage to the facility and aircraft.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> -Participate in daily maintenance meetings where discussions are made to deal with deferred defect and other defects.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>- ICAO type II Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License which includes a UAE GCAA license with company aircraft type endorsements.<br /> - The job holder shall have company authorisations on current fleet Experience in commercial aviation maintenance environment in a senior supervisory role involved with heavy maintenance covering multiple production lines.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in commercial aviation maintenance of which 10 years in Base Maintenance.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Knowledge/skills:</p> <p>- A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of aircraft maintenance practices and procedures. It is also necessary to be conversant with air legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft on an international basis.<br /> - A thorough knowledge of production planning. Training must include an apprenticeship or equivalent training in aircraft maintenance with an airline or an approved aircraft maintenance organisation.<br /> - Type training on company aircraft and some form of management training and experience is essential.<br /> - The job holder shall have company authorisations on current fleet.</p> <p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits</strong><br /> We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
