Vice President - Flight Operations Performance

<p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong></p> <p>To manage the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of aircraft performance, airport technical specifications and maintain all potential airport network status.&nbsp; To also provide a framework for aircraft and route performance, fuel management and payload.&nbsp;&nbsp;To maintain excellent relationships with and act as a focal point of contact with internal (Flight Operations, Engineering etc) and external manufacturers and operators.</p> <p><br /> <u>Job Outline</u>:</p> <ul> <li>Define objectives for all operations engineering, aircraft performance, acceptance/certification test flights (current fleets), flight crew operating manuals, and on-board electronic applications.&nbsp; Responsibilities will include monitoring, reviewing and recommending fleet specific standard, emergency and abnormal operational procedures, on a regular basis, in response to fleet and manufacturer recommendations.&nbsp; Activities will also include 24 hour technical support during disruptions.</li> <li>Define objectives for and delegate management of tasks to the responsible managers who will co-ordinate with the relevant technical pilots and utilises the operations engineers for execution of projects.&nbsp; This will include activities associated with the evaluation of new aircraft performance and the management of in-service aircraft performance.</li> <li>Approve flight test schedules for submission to GCAA, in line with regulatory requirements.&nbsp; Nominate crew to undertake Flight Tests.&nbsp; Assume responsibility with Flight Safety, and follow up on recommendations arising from incidents.</li> <li>Define and gain acceptance for policies for route performance with the objective of operating in safety standards and procedures, in line with manufacturer recommendations and in compliance with GCAA regulations.&nbsp; This will include incorporating inputs from both Emirates Engineering and manufacturers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li><u>Qualifications:</u></li> </ul> <p>Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.</p> <ul> <li><u>Experience:</u></li> </ul> <p>15+ years&nbsp;with a Commercial Airline: at least five of which should be in a senior management position in Flight Operations.</p> <ul> <li><u>Knowledge/skills:</u></li> </ul> <p>Applied knowledge of, and experience in managing JAA/FAA Regulations, Aircraft Certification Rules, Operational Procedures, Aircraft Systems Modifications, Performance Analysis and Aeronautical Documentation.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li><u>Safety Sensitive Role:</u></li> </ul> <p>No</p> <p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits:</strong></p> <p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
