About this role
Major Chinese civil aircraft company are seeking a range of experienced aircraft design/development specialists to join their expanding design office in California. This will be on the design and certification of new commercial aircraft development programmes. The focus of the work will include optimisation, bird strike, certification and general design engineering activities. <br /><br />General duties for engineers will include: design and analysis, documentation and testing, project coordination and problem resolution and project reporting. You will need to be able to work autonomously but will also be involved in the training of engineers (including Chinese seconded staff). <br /><br />They have a specific need for Senior Avionics Systems Engineers to be responsible for all aspects of the aircraft avionics system, development and integration. This includes requirements capture, technical definition, requirement management, integration, testing and certifying of the avionics systems. Tasks include defining of the aircraft avionics systems and development of aircraft integrated authentication scheme. Skills/Experience required for these roles include: <br />* Familiar with overall civil aircraft systems development processes. <br />* Extensive experience in the Specification, Design, Integration, Test and Certification of Avionic Systems on civil aircraft. <br />* Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) <br />* Familiar with aircraft project development document architectures <br />* Knowledge of reliability and maintainability of avionics equipment <br />* Familiarity with flight test environment <br /><br />They are looking recruit from now until December 2014 and for these positions you will need to have the current right to work in the USA, as they are not in a position to apply for work permits/visas.
