<p><strong>CAE Parc Aviation</strong> on behalf of our client Cathay Pacific is seeking professional experienced manager for the important role of Head of Technical Services. This is a full time position based in Hong Kong reporting to the General Manager Engineering Operations.</p><p>This key leadership role is responsible for managing and enhancing the reliability and technical performance of the fleets of aircraft for the Cathay Pacific Group of airlines.&nbsp; The role-holder will also be the Chief of Airworthiness under HKAR Part 21, and carries the responsibilities stated in accordance with the Part 21 requirements.</p><p>The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 70 staff of various functions that include technical and maintenance support; reliability management; maintenance, modification and repair requirements management; and maintenance program development.</p><p>This position is for those a professional with proven success in change management with multicultural and multifunctional teams.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Develop a clear strategy for TS and oversee the execution of this strategy &ndash; ensuring alignment with Engineering&rsquo;s &lsquo;strategy-on-a-page&rsquo;.</li><li>Contribute effectively as a member of ELG, taking collective responsibility for department-wide and airline-wide programmes and projects</li><li>Drive process, quality and productivity improvements within the section</li><li>Oversee, develop, align the various functions in Technical Services, and build Technical Services into an integral part of the department</li><li>Owner of AD and MOR processes and ensure that they are managed robustly to eliminate safety risks</li><li>Manage effective implementation of justified aircraft modifications and the associated cost budget to provide cost effective reliability/safety enhancement</li><li>Act as the Chief of Airworthiness with the HKAR Part-21 Design Organisation and ensure that the design changes comply with regulatory requirements</li><li>Provide technical expertise inputs to the rest of the organisation including other Engineering sections, Flight Operations, Line and Heavy Maintenance teams etc.</li><li>Develop and manage the fleet technical defect management model to drive fast turnaround on defect rectifications</li><li>Build a high performance culture, taking overall accountability for the performance of the section</li><li>Develop staff and successors for Technical Services and Part21 Design Organisation through advice, coaching and on-the-job / other training.</li></ul> <p><br /> <strong>Minimum Requirements </strong></p><ul> <li>As the Chief of Airworthiness, the incumbent must be a degree holder in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering</li><li>Proven management experience of complex service-oriented engineering operations</li><li>Minimum 12 years experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering or planning</li><li>In-depth professional knowledge of aircraft engineering field</li><li>Polished and effective interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Good command of spoken &amp; written English.</li></ul> <p><strong><u>Cathay Pacific</u></strong></p><p>Cathay Pacific&rsquo;s Engineering Department is well respected for its outstanding reputation in aircraft maintenance with its dedication to providing the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency and reliability.
