About this role

Chinese aircraft manufacturer require a highly experienced Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer to provide consultancy advice and support within F&amp;DT as part of a Turboprop aircraft development programme. Duties will include:- <br /><br />* Provide guidance for design activities relating to F&amp;DT studies, including for airworthiness validation. <br />* Provide evaluation of finished designs and documents for top level design and guidance for the preparation of design files. <br />* Provide guidance for the stress calculation and the airworthiness validation test scheme planning. <br />* Provide guidance for designs, e.g. FE modeling methods and requirements, static strength checking methods, F&amp;DT design and evaluation requirements. <br /><br />Within this role you will acting as the expert in all aspects of Fatigue and Damage Tolerance for turboprop aircraft designs and certification. In addition to technical guidance you will also be providing advice on training and staff development and influencing the company structure within this technical area. <br /><br />You will have extensive experience of F&amp;DT and dynamic analysis of aircraft which MUST include considerable Turboprop knowledge (e.g. for ATR72, Q400, N250, Dash 8 etc.) In addition you will have the seniority and authority to work within an organisation providing advice at technical director level. Initial contract will be 6 months with mobilisation flights included.
