Programme Manager - PSS

<p><strong>Job Purpose:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>To manage the delivery of enterprise-wide Programme Management Office (ePMO) services to the Emirates Group of companies encompassing skills and competency development, project portfolio management and project and programme facilitation.</p> <p>To support the Performance Development (PD) department in managing business change projects, in compliance with the project practices, standards and processes defined by the PMO, and lead and/or facilitate the project throughout the project phases from initiation to closure.</p> <p>Job Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for development and delivery of a project management training needs analysis approach (and supporting application) to assess the level of project management maturity at an individual, department and group level.</li> <li>Responsible for development and delivery of a project portfolio tool (application) that reports on performance of projects and programmes at a departmental (business unit) level ensuring the right projects are selected and prioritised, and that delivery is managed to best practice standards. Responsible for the deployment, management and monitoring of usage, in addition to upgrading of the tool in line with industry best practice.</li> <li>Accountable for cost effective competency development, up-skilling and coaching of Emirates Group staff involved in, managing or sponsoring projects and programmes to a level that will ensure they are effectively equipped to deliver small and medium sized projects with minimal Programme Management Office intervention.</li> <li>Responsible for identifying business units with substantial volumes of projects ,and delivering competency development needs as well as establishing a formal project portfolio governance structure and supporting processes.</li> </ul> <p><br /> <strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong>&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <p>Human Resources. Performance Management&nbsp; 8+ Years</p> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Training:</strong></p> <p>Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)</p> <ul> <li>Certified project professional (PMP, Prince2 Practitioner)</li> <li>Experience working in a project management environment of a reputable organisation, with experience in in project management of complex medium to large projects, in excess of AED 5m and working in an enterprise Programme Management Office (ePMO), encompassing the following key activities:</li> <li>Design and delivery of project management training and coaching programmes</li> <li>Deployment of business unit project portfolio using defined standards, governance and tool (application)</li> <li>Establish project governance structures and processes for complex medium to large projects Experience of managing internal and external stakeholders, including developing relationships and managing expectations with particular emphasis on being able to negotiate and influence middle management.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge/Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of project, programme and portfolio management practices, holding a project management certification from a recognised professional body (such as the Project Management Institute).</li> <li>Good planning, communication, verbal, written, presentation skills and report writing skills are essential.</li> <li>Demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project, MS Visio and MS SharePoint.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Capabilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Stakeholder management</li> <li>Change management</li> <li>Project portfolio management</li> <li>Project management</li> <li>ePMO</li> <li>Project/programme/portfolio methods and tools</li> <li>Coaching and Training</li> </ul> <p><strong>Financial Details:</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;<br /> The PMO manages some 100+ active projects at any given time. 70% of projects are less than 6 months in duration and the remainder greater than 6 months. Projects range in size from Dhs100,000 to multi-year programmes costing more than Dhs1,000,000,000.
