<p>Aircraft Structural Lead designer (Boeing 737)</p> <p><strong>GATE Europe is looking for a :<br /> <strong>Design / Lead Engineer – Structure knowledge of Boeing (B737) aircraft and knowledge of VIP conversion</strong></strong></p> <p>The Design / Lead Engineer - Structure is responsible for analyzing and certifying the structural changes which form part of aircraft modifications to ensure you meet the customer requirements and the alleged safety and airworthiness requirements. In this mode, your main responsibilities and duties:<br /> • The analysis of structural changes in airplanes and provide proof of the strength in accordance with the agreed specifications and agreements with respect to cost, time and quality<br /> • Participating in multi-disciplinary (project) teams for the purpose of integrated approaches and executing designs.<br /> • Drafting strength reports that prove that the relevant structures meet all airworthiness requirements with respect to strength.<br /> • Het- help co - optimization of structural features and / or adjustments improve manufacturability, production costs and turnaround time and adjust as necessary to ensure that the product / installation complies within the specified strength requirements<br /> • Solving complex structural issues.<br /> • The checking and approval of drawings on structural aspects and, where necessary, an opinion to improve.<br /> • The test plans and supervising strength related testing of structures where appropriate.<br /> • Participation in design reviews (internal and external) where U ensures a professional presentation of structural adjustments and to justify why certain design decisions were made.<br /> • The as lead engineer, operational control of design teams of engineers and various disciplines of business and overseeing planning, budget and result of input into the design.<br /> <br /> Instructing and supervising less experienced engineers.<br /> <br /> • Plans of its own activities and monitor progress in the field of time, budget, technology and quality.</p> <p><strong>Job requirements:</strong></p> <p>• You have a university or college education and have demonstrable experience in structural design and analysis in aviation technology.<br /> <br /> • You have knowledge of Boeing (B737) aircraft and knowledge of VIP conversion is an advantage.<br /> <br /> • You have experience in leading small teams as lead engineer.<br /> <br /> • You are familiar with the aviation regulations and required evidence for structural adjustments.<br /> <br /> • You are able to conduct independent strength analysis of aircraft structures<br /> <br /> • You are cost conscious and able to quickly assess structures and define adjustments for optimization.<br /> <br /> • You are a team player and has demonstrable experience of participating in multidisciplinary teams.<br /> <br /> • You have excellent knowledge and experience in the field of reporting and presentations in the field of structural design.<br /> <br /> • You have demonstrable experience with FEM analysis methodology and tools (experience with Femap / Nastran is a plus) for the analysis of complex construction. In addition, you have the necessary knowledge of CATIA / AutoCAD to run your analysis.<br /> <br /> • You have good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.<br /> <br /> • You are stress resistant and works only on a "deal is a deal."<br /> <br /> <br /> Long term contract with an excellent hourly rate.
