<img src="http://counter.adcourier.com/am9obnMuMDIyNzkuNDI0QGFlcm9wZW9wbGUuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif" /><br /><p><strong>Applications Technical Analyst</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>About the Client:</strong> <br /> Our client, a prestigious industry leading provider of Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Services for rotary and fixed wing aircraft and components, located in Central Scotland, has an exciting opportunity for a Applications Technical Analyst for a contract position. <br /> <br /> <strong>Purpose and Scope:</strong> <br /> To design, develop, implement and maintain efficient and effective applications services in support of core organisational functions and business processes</p><p><br /> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong> <br /> * Provision of IT applications services to required service and availability levels, including completion of assigned Service desk requests by required deadline and following required methodologies and processes. <br /> * Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house systems <br /> * Administration and operations management of major ERP applications and servers <br /> * Management of designated projects and completion of assigned tasks, following required methodologies and processes to ensure delivery on time; in scope and on budget. <br /> * Collaborate with Business Process Owners and Super Users in the review and analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and identification of opportunities for improving or further leveraging these systems <br /> * Participate in design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations and information process flow <br /> * Design, develop and implement applications/systems in accordance with required standards and methodologies <br /> * Test, debug and document software developed both internally and externally <br /> * Produce system and user documentation during the development of systems <br /> * Conduct research on software solutions to justify recommendations in support of the software selection process <br /> * Travel to other Vector UK and International sites as required <br /> * Any other duties as assigned by the Applications Services Manager <br /> <br /> <strong>Education and Training:</strong> <br /> Recognised higher education certificate or university degree in computer related subject or relevant experience working in IT <br /> Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or agile software development (SCRUM) <br /> ITIL Foundation <br /> Prince 2 <br /> Security Clearance <br /> Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. <br /> Current Full Driving Licence <br /> <br /> <strong>Technical Requirements:</strong> <br /> Extensive and current knowledge of core software applications, including Baan, MS Project <br /> Strong and current detailed knowledge of relevant applications technologies, development tools and platforms including but not limited to AIX, Oracle, Access, SQL <br /> Strong understanding of Project Management principles <br /> Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business systems/applications <br /> <br /> <br /><em><strong> Because of the security clearances required for this role, only EU citizens will be considered</strong> </em><br /> <br /> <strong>About Aeropeople</strong> <br /> Aeropeople are a leading dedicated Aerospace and Autosport technical services provider specialising in the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff.
