About this role
Chinese commercial aircraft company are seeking a specialist within the area of aircraft door design to work on a new turboprop aircraft development programme, based in their newly established design office. They are seeking a senior engineer capable of surveying aircraft door design requirements, establishing design procedures as well as executing preliminary and detailed design on a range of aircraft doors systems and mechanisms. <br /><br />This encompasses the design of passenger, service, emergency and landing gear doors - including mechanisms and door surround structures. The work will cover design procedures, detailed design as well as safety/certification aspects and test and manufacturing requirements. <br /><br />You will be a Senior Design Engineer with considerable experience in the design, test and certification of aircraft doors systems and structures. Ideally this will have included working within the development of turboprop aircraft (e.g. ATR72/42, Bombardier Dash 8/Q400, IPTN N-250, Saab 2000/340 etc.) <br /><br />These are long-term contract positions (6 months initially) and based at the client's office in central China.
