Manager Cargo Operations

<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>Lead and control Import and Export aspects of cargo operations at multiple Cargo Terminals in Dubai and DWC to ensure department’s contractual obligations and service delivery objectives are met while ensuring safety of operations while controlling capital and cost budget.</p> <p>Areas of Operations include Build Up, Breakdown, Warehouse import &amp; export airside ramp activities, Inter terminal Transfer, Agent transfer, Site office, Road feeder service terminal handling,&nbsp; Acceptance unloading, Delivery loading, Import and Export counters, documentation, inspection and verification of cargo in acceptance and delivery docks.</p> <p><strong>Job Accountabilities </strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain the highest standard service to airlines, integrators and other customers that use the Terminal Services, controlling the efficient delivery of all cargo products within a total quality environment and complaint with ISO requirements (currently comprising of 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18000), IATA/ICAO and UAE GCAA regulatory requirements and directives.</li> <li>Accountable for annual budget for manpower, expenditure, equipment, facilities, etc.&nbsp; To achieve cost and productivity improvements, without comprising safety, service standards and product quality.&nbsp; Provide regular input into the mid and long term business direction for the terminal, ensuring ongoing support during local / international visits by airline customers in an attempt to promote the terminal operations as a major regional air-cargo terminal.</li> <li>Responsible for providing critical inputs into service level agreements with T1, T2 DWC customer airlines.&nbsp; Will be required to maintain comprehensive operational procedures and stretching engagement standards to support these SLA’s.&nbsp; Based on airline SLA’s the job holder will also be required to set and monitor SLA’s with internal service providers, such as T1, T2, DWC, Airport Operations, DXB Terminals.</li> <li>Maintain close contact with cargo and other airlines, integrators as well as airport agencies such as DCA, Police, Customs, so as to ensure effective co-ordination, understanding and compliance with changing policies, systems and procedures as also to obtain their support in achievement of the overall objectives of the Cargo Terminal.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience&nbsp; </strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)</li> <li>10+ years extensive experience in airfreight and cargo handling, with an international Airline, ground handling agent at a large international airport (preferably in a highly mechanised environment), International Integrator or Express services company or International Freight forwarder and Logistics Provider.</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of cargo handling systems, equipment, computer applications.</li> <li>Accountability for staff, budgets, setting of operational procedures, client negotiation etc.&nbsp;</li> <li>A seasoned Cargo professional with proven ability of managing operations with large teams at multiple locations.</li> <li>Sound understanding of Cargo Regulatory requirements and Freight regulations.</li> <li>Good exposure to Budgets preparations and Cost/ Revenue concepts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits:</strong></p> <p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
