<img src="http://counter.adcourier.com/bHVrZWYuODU3OTkuNDI0QGFlcm9wZW9wbGUuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif" /><br /><p><strong>Fatigue &amp; Damage Tolerance Engineer - Bristol</strong></p><p>Our customer has a global presence and offers a full range of manufacturing solutions to the aerospace, defence, space &amp; automotive markets, along with a full range of aftercare products and services.</p><p>Due to a period of growth they urgently require additional contract FD&amp;T Engineers at their state of the art and cutting edge facility based in Bristol.</p><p>Fatigue &amp; Damage Tolerance Engineer - Bristol</p><p><strong>Qualification :</strong> ME / M.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace from a reputed institute</p><p>Experience : 10-15 years of experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis of composite / metallic airframe structure using the standard fatigue, crack growth and residual strength calculations to assess design solutions using standard hand calculations and computer analysis methods to develop design solutions. Also an understanding of the fundamental method of analysis for fatigue and crack growth and an ability to develop these methods would be expected. Some knowledge of the application of FE analysis and an understanding of aircraft production methods and processes would be beneficial.</p><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>Good Exposure to F&amp;DT Methodologies.</p><p>Experience with F&amp;DT on composite structures Good experience in SOM / Hand Calculations. Experience in FEA &amp; Stress tools - NASTRAN, PATRAN Familiarity with aerospace design requirements</p><p>Familiarity with AS 9100 B quality process</p><p>MS Office Skills</p><p>Excellent communication skills and customer interaction skills.</p><p>Good Verbal and written English skills, customer interaction skills is essential.</p><p>Ability to lead &amp; guide a team of engineers</p><p><strong>Roles and responsibilities :</strong></p><ul><li>Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team</li><li>F&amp;DT of primary &amp; secondary structure of commercial aircraft</li><li>Experience of F&amp;DT and crack growth analysis procedures on metallic structures</li><li>Provide support to project management</li><li>Experience of damage tolerance philosophy.</li><li>Experience on Fatigue initiation, propagation techniques and interpretation of results.</li><li>To work in tandem with the designer / manufacturer and come up with the final design and inspection interval that meets the requirements.</li><li>Creation of technical / design reports / documents</li><li>Interaction with manufacturing agencies / experts to evaluate options</li><li>Interaction with global customers to understand their requirements and deliver on time and with quality.</li></ul><p><strong>Location</strong> : Bristol.
