They have also achieved significant success in the provision of solutions and capability across the military, security, non-government and commercial markets. They take pride in regularly exceeding customers' expectations in the design, management, supply and support of sophisticated operational solutions and services to cost and to time. <br /> <br /> We now are looking to employ a Quality Assurance Technician on a long term contract basis to work at our Cambridge Facility. <br /> <br /> <strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> <br /> <br /> * Audit components, sub assemblies and finished products at process stages to ensure the delivered items meet the appropriate specification and company workmanship standards. <br /> * Conduct inspections of supplied components and finished products against drawings and appropriate specifications. <br /> * Investigate any quality issues to identify route cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed. <br /> * Conduct and manage appropriate tests to verify product and component performance. <br /> * Create production route cards to record as build status of products and assemblies. <br /> * Collate and archive product end item datapacks. <br /> * Undertake calibration of personal hand tools. <br /> * Manage manufacturing master drawings to ensure build standard control is maintained on assigned projects. <br /> * Produce management feedback on performance in areas of responsibility. <br /> <br /> <strong>Competencies:</strong> <br /> <br /> * Must be competent in use of basic measuring equipment e.g. vernier, micrometer etc. <br /> * Weld inspection experience to CSWIP3.0 <br /> * Operating in an ISO9001 Quality Systems environment for at least 5 years. <br /> * Knowledge of manufacturing processes including: MIG and TIG welding, joining technology, metal fabrication techniques, electrical and pneumatic systems, machining techniques and painting systems. <br /> * Use computer packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook. <br /> * Knowledge of inspection and auditing techniques. <br /> * God written and verbal communication to clearly express views and ideas. <br /> * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. <br /> * Knowledge of quality inspection and auditing principles. <br /> * Hold a full UK driving licence. <br /> <br /> <strong>About Aeropeople</strong> <br /> Aeropeople are a leading dedicated Aerospace and Autosport technical services provider specialising in the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff.
