<p><strong>Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Officer<br /> National Police Air Service (NPAS)<br /> £30,744 - £33,264<br /> Wakefield</strong></p> <p>NPAS is the national provider of air support to the Police Forces of England and Wales with West Yorkshire Police being the lead Force. As part of its commitment to delivering the National Police Air Service, West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit a Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Officer.</p> <p>The successful candidate will support the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) and Engineer in managing the airworthiness of the NPAS fleet of fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft in accordance with national aviation legislation, delivering the highest levels of aircraft availability. </p> <p>We are looking for candidates in possession of Aircraft/Engine Training /Maintenance Planning or Aviation Regulatory qualification (BCAR Part M or Part 145 (including Mil Part 145)), together with proven experience working within an aviation maintenance, planning or technical environment.</p> <p>You will come with appropriate knowledge of aircraft systems, aviation planning and maintenance and the ability to interpret Airworthiness Directives, manufacturers’ publications and maintenance data.</p> <p>As a Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Officer you will require excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to use software solutions and prepare specialist reports for presentation to a range of NPAS stakeholders. </p> <p>In addition, you will hold a full current UK/European driving licence and work flexible working hours to support any response to major incidents.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting prior to appointment.</p> <p>This post is suitable for job share.</p> <p>Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate security checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last three years.
