<p>We have been commissioned by one the UK’s leading Operators to source a Head of IT on a permanent basis for their Head Quarters in The Midlands.</p> <p>Reporting directly to the Board of Directors you will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information management and technology initiatives.</p> <p>This fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and forward thinking organisation is waiting for an individual who has comprehensive exposure to planning and the implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, compliance, and business development.</p> <p>In a ‘Nut Shell’ you will be responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems.&nbsp;</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:-</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Developing and implementing strategy, infrastructure, and software for Web based systems, customer facing and internal.&nbsp;<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Managing the process definition and implementation for change management, project management and related cross functional activities.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Overseeing the development of an IT governance framework; strategic plans; policies; technology architecture; technology evaluation and transfer; communications systems; management information services.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Managing departmental systems requirements; align IT with the business to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Processing definition and implementation for change management, project management and related cross functional activities.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Web systems, strategy, development, and implementation.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Directing the information and data integrity of the company and its business units.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Evaluating overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Advising senior management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Preparing enterprise objectives and budgets to facilitate the orderly and efficient capture, storage, processing, and dissemination of information.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Interacting with company managers on internal and external operations that are impacted by the capture, storage, processing and dissemination of information.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Reviewing and approve major contracts for computing and information technology services and equipment.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ensuring the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Overseeing the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Responsible for the development, and review, of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Identifying emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Assessing new computing technologies to determine potential value for the company.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Overseeing ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Establishing company infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Establishing and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluate department staff.</p> <p>If this opportunity is of interest to you please forward a copy of your CV in confidence to kevin.small@zenon.aero</p> <p>Zenon Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency with regards to this vacancy.</p>
