About this role
<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>As Vice President Business Technology - Airline Operations, you will contribute to the development of business strategy with IT, for a large group of mission critical business departments within Emirates Group. You will develop and align across the group, the business IT strategy to support Emirates Group's overall IT strategy, keeping in mind future growth and technology innovation of the Emirates Group (3-5 years).</p> <p>You will manage the overall relationships with business stakeholders, for the business area, establishing an effective and consistent IT customer experience through identifying business needs and ensuring the delivery of substantial improvements in business performance and customer focus. You will ensure delivery of all IT solutions, projects and services to the business area in a timely and cost effective manner.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications & Experience </strong></p> <ul> <li>Management experience of which previous experience should be in leading a range of functions at a senior level in IT, ideally within a customer relations environment.</li> <li>Experience in leading delivery of business IT solutions, ideally in the travel & transportation industry is of advantage.</li> <li>Major account experience gained in both multinational and multi-cultural environments would be an added benefit.</li> <li>Knowledge/skills: Business/IS Strategy and planning Technical strategy and planning System development Business Change management Relationship Management</li> </ul> <p>The successful candidate will be well versed in the Airline operations business (flight, network and airport operations, airport and on board services, crew management, aircraft maintenance and engineering, etc) with a thorough understanding on how technology supports all facets of such businesses.</p> <p><strong>Salary & Benefits:</strong></p> <p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
