About this role
<p><strong>Job Purpose </strong></p> <p>This job exists to ensure the functions within the Engineering Maintenance Planning are organised, communicated, developed and implemented, thereby ensuring the Emirates fleet is maintained to the required standards as defined by the regulatory authority and Engineering Procedures Manual, in order to achieve continuous airworthiness and cost effectiveness of the aircraft during its life cycle. </p> <p><strong>Job</strong><strong> Outline:</strong></p> <p>Generic</p> <ul> <li>Organise and chair various meetings ensuring active, positive participation of planning in all meetings. Ensure leadership of change programmes by engaging in projects and project teams designed to create and implement positive change and proactive change culture in the Engineering Planning & IT Systems department.</li> <li>Administer the day-to-day operation of the unit, and continually review systems and procedures to ensure efficient running of allocated activities, consistent workload distribution and implementation of necessary improvements.</li> <li>Deputise for the TE04 and ensure that the section is represented in meetings and technical review meetings. Providing the TE04 full status on their modification programmes and escalating to the TE04 any issues that will affect and delay the implementation of the modifications to the EK fleet and the advertised plan.</li> <li>Manage and organize team resources to ensure efficient operation and optimum utilization of manpower and equipment; providing leadership, guidance, training, and development to staff in order to meet continued fleet growth requirements, system enhancements, improved working efficiency and increased productivity and performance standards.</li> </ul> <p>Maintenance Planning:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure continuous development of configuration management of the EK fleet or engines guaranteeing the implementation of all compliance criteria within the Maintenance and Repair Organisations (MRO) system for all maintenance task inputs.</li> <li>Ensure the creation and auditing of all configuration elements relating to a task card composition, component model, serial number and the compliance forecast that enables the accurate planning and providing the value chain audit that ensures the compliance of the EK fleet.</li> <li>Ensure the continuous development of EK Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) and EK Supplemental Maintenance Program (SMP), Component Monitoring Document (CMD) and Engine Maintenance Program for all aircraft types and engines within Emirates fleet. Review and issue amendments/revisions on periodical basis to meet Airworthiness Authorities legal requirements, manufacturer recommendations and company requirements.</li> <li>Ensure that all airworthiness issues pertaining to aircraft, engine & component maintenance tasks are reflected in the Emirate Engineering operating system., in relation to the compliance of all maintenance tasks that are applicable to their fleet are controlled and are at all-time compliant with the frequencies and guidelines laid down by the approved documentation.</li> <li>Define and develop Maintenance Task Operating Plan (MTOP) for the EK fleet to define strategy for equalised maintenance check segments, ensuring the most cost effective method of distributing task based on local constraints among various maintenance inputs.</li> <li>Evaluate the impact of technical documents and Engineering Orders (EO) for all aircraft, engines and component modifications. Create full implementation plans for the implementation of modification programmes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications & Experience </strong></p> <ul> <li>Apprenticeship or Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering </li> <li>A Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Management would be an advantage</li> <li>A total of 12 years of experience with at least 8 years demonstrable experience in Aircraft Scheduling/Maintenance Planning/Reliability or Modifications Engineer on Emirates fleet types or similar.</li> <li>In addition at least 4 years in a supervisory/team leading role.</li> <li>A MRO or Airline background is preferred and would be an advantage.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge/skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Fully conversant with aircraft systems, power plant and components.</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of related Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering functions, aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentations.</li> <li>Proficient with Computer applications (e.g. MS Office).</li> <li>Knowledge of M & E systems is an advantage.</li> </ul> <p>Safety Sensitive Role: Yes</p> <p><strong>Salary & Benefits:</strong></p> <p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
