<p><strong>AeroProfessional are pleased to announce that on behalf of our client, a total engineering solution provider to the aerospace and defence sector, as well as industry in general requires a Manual Miller / Turner.</strong></p> <p><strong>Reporting to the General Manager, working within a new and modern workshop, machining aerospace/deep-sea precision parts to customer specifications and within AS9100 quality standards.</strong></p> <p><strong><em>Your Primary Accountabilities include:</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Machining low quantities of precision component’s in stainless steel, brass and aluminium</li> <li>Full knowledge of all workshop equipment</li> <li>Liaising with Inspection Department to ensure that products produced, are to the specifications required</li> <li>Ability to resolve queries and problems to best of knowledge before escalating up to next level ensuring minimum occurrence of errors and provide workable solutions</li> <li>Responsible for adhering to Health and Safety rules and procedures</li> <li>Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying particular respect to colleagues and equipment</li> <li>Present a positive attitude at all times and an adaptable approach to problems</li> <li>Possible travel within the UK to other acquisition companies</li> </ul> <p><strong>To apply for this role you will need to be:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge and use of all machine shop equipment</li> <li>Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels</li> <li>Good numerical and literacy skills</li> <li>Reliable and trustworthy</li> <li>Flexible attitude and approach to work</li> <li>Professional conduct displayed at all times</li> <li>Ability to adhere to tight deadlines</li> <li>Ability to lift safe loads without assistance</li> <li>Solid mechanical / engineering knowledge</li> <li>Positive attitude combined with a ‘common sense’ approach</li> <li>Ability to work well within a team and as an individual</li> <li>Can pass on knowledge and skills to others, evaluating and validating training given</li> <li>Meticulous attention to detail with a methodical approach to tasks</li> <li>Takes pride in self and work</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>This position is Direct Hire</p>
