As part of the ongoing development of the Airport we require an experienced Air Traffic Engineer (ATE)<br /><br />Accountable to the Manager Air Traffic Services (MATS) and Manager Air Traffic Engineering (MATE), it is the responsibility of an Air Traffic Engineer at Cambridge Airport to maintain the integrity of all Air Traffic Control equipment by adhering to the policies, procedures and processes laid down within the ATE Dept and in compliance with CAP 670 Part B, Section 1 APP 02, ensuring minimal disruption to ATC Operations.<br /><br />The ATE will:<br /><br />Carry out scheduled Level 1, Level 2 and occasional Level 3 Maintenance<br />Conduct fault investigation and rectification to component level<br />Support MATS/MATE and liaise with CAA SARG and external companies as required<br />Communicate with ATC, Operations and Fire Department where necessary<br />Comply with all Health and Safety Legislation<br />Have the ability to adapt to new innovations<br /><br />The ATE will maintain:-<br /><br />All airport radar, radio navigation and landing aids <br />All airport radio communications systems, voice switch, voice and radar data recorder<br />ATC Control Positions and associated environments<br />Aerodrome Ground Lighting (AGL) Control Systems, excluding the actual Aerodrome Ground Lights<br />Met equipment and associated displays<br />All relevant documentation as required by CAA SARG including maintenance schedule, equipment records and job cards<br /><br />Cambridge is a constantly evolving environment and additional tasks are often allocated at short notice. As such the ATE is expected to be flexible and adaptable. <br /><br />Qualifications Required<br /><br />- Level 3 ONC/BTEC would be an advantage however consideration will be given to those with relevant experience.<br />- CAA PTC Group and Type Ratings in compliance with CAP 670 would be an advantage although consideration will be given to those with relevant experience.<br /><br />Experience<br />Recent engineering experience in an Air Traffic Control environment at civil airports is essential.</p><p>Marshall is the UK's leading independent aerospace company, specialising in aircraft maintenance, modifications and support services.
