Technical Services Engineer - Avionics/IFE, Airframe Systems & Structures

<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>The Technical Services Engineer&nbsp;provides technical services for the Emirates aircraft fleet to ensure that they achieve a high standard of performance and technical despatch reliability once in revenue service.<br /> <br /> Job Outline:</p> <ul> <li>Provides technical services for upgrade and modification of aircraft in revenue service and responsible for the following:-</li> </ul> <p>- Evaluation of all manufacturers/regulatory authority documents e.g. ADs, SBs, SILs, All Operators Telexes, by completing Technical Documents Review form and follow-up action by issuing appropriate documents such as E.O., SEWC, EAN, Technical Notices and AMS amendments.<br /> - Preparation of cost benefit studies on major modifications and detailed Engineering Orders for incorporation on approval of management.<br /> - Arranging Engineering Modification Committee Meetings for the respective area so that timely action is initiated as required.<br /> - Monitoring high component removal rate and initiate follow up action to improve component and system reliability.</p> <ul> <li>Provides technical services to help reduce repair and maintenance costs and responsible for the following:-</li> </ul> <p>- Reviewing and monitor technical Log on daily basis for system trends and for recommending action to maintenance personnel as required for repeated defects not covered by normal procedures.<br /> - Monitoring technical performance of repair agencies and make recommendations on changes if required.<br /> - Assisting in warranty claim clarifications and technical justification as required.<br /> - Reviewing aircraft deferred defect and initiate corrective action.</p> <ul> <li>Provides specialist technical advice for resolution of complex and/or unusual aircraft technical problems and responsible for the following:-</li> </ul> <p>- Ensuring that equipment and system are maintained to ETOPS standard.<br /> - Preparing routine and non-routine reports and data or cost analysis for the respective area and associated systems for alternate management actions and sub contractor performance.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p> <p>Education/experience:</p> <ul> <li>Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and/or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence for 5 years&nbsp;</li> <li>8+ Years&nbsp;experience of which a minimum of 5 years in Technical Services function of which at least 3 years at Emirates type fleet.</li> </ul> <p>Knowledge/skills:</p> <ul> <li>Thorough knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends on respective Systems</li> <li>Ability to analyse and synthesise the technical information for implementation in cost effective ways.</li> </ul> <p>Safety Sensitive role- Yes</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits:</strong></p> <p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
