About this role
<p>Zenon is delighted to be commissioned by a National Flag Carrier to source a Senior Procurement Manager on a permanent basis for their Head Quarters based in Central Asia.</p> <p>Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, the successful candidate will be responsible for the technical procurement of aircraft materials and technical services from the Regional and International markets and the management of suppliers contracts.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>The procurement of aircraft materials and technical services from local and international market</li> <li>The purchase and expedition of spares and components from approved suppliers to ensure turnaround times are met</li> <li>Execute & vet suppliers contracts including airframe, engine, rotable repair contracts and other technical service agreements </li> <li>Liaison with Engineering Planning to analyse and review the provision of stock/materials and monitor inventory levels while also identifying and reducing non-moving stock</li> <li>For all materials and services (including those other than engineering) design and send requests for quotation, analysis of pricing, placing orders, invoice controlling, supplier management & closing purchasing orders</li> <li>The provision of a pricing database of purchased materials and services from all sources</li> <li>The negotiation of pricing for all purchase orders and contracts</li> <li>The review of key supplier performance as a continuous benchmark to ensure quality from suppliers while maintaining procurement quality procedure</li> <li>Carry out cost savings and process improvement initiatives</li> <li>Liaise with suppliers on discrepancies</li> <li>Understand and ensure the fulfilment of procurement needs for internal business partners</li> <li>Continually source for competitive vendors to reduce cost and delivery lead time</li> <li>Maintain approved vendor listing</li> <li>Update records/reports in business systems</li> <li>Prepare documents for cargo clearance</li> <li>Record purchases and sales in the inventory system</li> <li>Purchasing function and activities to be performed in accordance to company specifications, procedures and policies</li> </ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Possess a related qualification with at least five years of working experience in the related field</li> <li>Experience of technical procurement in the international aviation industry would be a further advantage</li> <li>Well versed in supply chain process</li> <li>Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to multi-task</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail</li> <li>Strong negotiation skills</li> <li>Proficiency in MS Words, Excel and Outlook</li> <li>University degree in related sphere</li> </ul> <p><strong>Due to Visa restrictions only candidates with a University degree will be shortlisted.</strong></p> <p>If the above opportunity is of interest to you please forward your CV to <a href="mailto:kevin.small@zenon.aero" rel="no-follow">kevin.small@zenon.aero</a> in confidence.</p> <p>Closing date for applications is 4<sup>th</sup> December 2015</p> <p>Zenon Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.</p>
