<img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/bHVrZWYuNzg2NTMuNDI0QGFlcm9wZW9wbGUuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif" rel="no-follow" /><br /><p><strong>Director of Operations</strong><br /><br />Our client based in Slovakia, provides design and production of advanced composites structures for automotive and aerospace OEMs - using primarily prepreg/Autoclave, RTM and prepreg press moulding technologies. <br /><br />The new state-of-the-art production facilities span some 11,000 m2. <br />They currently employ 350 staff and have the potential to grow to 650 staff in the existing production site. <br />A recent investment and brownfield renovation of the next-door, empty facility planned in 2016/2017 will add another 12,000 m2 capacity ? aimed at the aerospace secondary structural market.<br /><br />The company aim is to grow to 1000 employees within 5 years with an approx. 50:50 split in automotive and aerospace, with aerospace having an approx. 50:50 split between interiors and secondary structures.<br /><br />The strategic aim is to develop innovative automated manufacturing processes based on in-house manufactured prepreg, automated preformed then press moulded with a few minute cycle time ? esp. interesting to the automotive and aerospace interiors segment.<br /><br />They are looking to appoint an experienced Director of Operations with a proven track record, ideally with a sound background in the aerospace composites and/or automotive industry.<br /><br />Job description:<br /><br />? Full responsibility for the plant P&L<br />? Head for the following departments: Technical (CAD, tooling, prototyping, industrialisation, launch), Series production, Operational quality, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, supply chain.<br />? Preparing CAPEX plan to achieve targeted growth rate<br />? Operating within (existing) ISO TS 16949 and AS9100 (to be achieved mid 2016)<br />? Installing NADCAP qualification by end of 2017<br />? Establishing a strong culture of lean manufacturing and continous improvement ? deeply engrained within all staff, applying modern automotive lean concepts to all production, positioning there client as a benchmark in operational excellence<br />? Establishing a client a reputation for superb performance in managing production transfers quickly, to budget and to schedule, which will enable there client to be the European supplier of choice to receive production transfer contracts<br />? Strategic planning of the operational requirements and their execution (facility, equipment, people recruitment and development) to reach 100m EUR turnover by 2020 and 1000 staff.<br /><br />Candidate requirements: <br /><br />? 10 years of experience within operations management in aerospace composites, at least three years running a production plant. <br />? Automotive series production management experience considered a strong benefit<br />? Hands-on experience with composites engineering (design and/or manufacturing engineering)<br />? Experience with managing high growth<br />? Strong experience with the implementation of ERM systems and the set-up of a digital factory<br />?
