<p><strong>Manager Air Traffic Services</strong></p> <p>Birmingham Airport, the UK’s 7th busiest Airport, is located 5.5 nm ESE of the City of Birmingham and alongside the National Exhibition Centre.<br /> <br /> Birmingham Airport has recently taken the provision of Air Traffic Services in house. In accordance with Birmingham Airport Air Traffic Ltd (BAATL) ANSP Policy Statement ‘to provide the highest level of safety in its air navigation services and whenever practicable improve the safety of those<br /> services’ BAATL will be looking for a highly safety-focused individual who will maintain the current high standard of service delivery.<br /> <br /> BAATL would therefore like to invite applications for the following post:<br /> Manager Air Traffic Services –<br /> The successful candidate will, as part of the air traffic management team, be accountable to the Head of Air Navigation Services for the provision of safe and expeditious ATC and Met services at Birmingham Airport.<br /> <br /> They should hold a European ATCO Licence with currently validated ratings in ADI and APS. In addition, a Met Observers Certificate and OJTI endorsement are also essential. An EXM endorsement is desirable.<br /> <br /> Air Navigation Services are provided in accordance with all statutory/regulatory requirements and the BAATL Integrated Management System. A comprehensive knowledge of Safety, Quality and Security Management systems is essential. The successful candidate will have recent management experience within the ATC environment, in an administrative, operational or training role.
