<p>Zenon have been commissioned by one of the UK’s most successful operations to source an Aviation Services Officer for a 12 month fixed term contract basis for their facility in the UK.</p> <p>As directed by the Aviation Services Manager, the main responsibilities of this position will be to plan and manage 3rd party ground handling contracts. Responsible for effective supervision of our clients ground handling contracts, services and standards at all airports used by operator for all core and leasing aircraft. Maintain the Airfield Directory and Ground Handling Manual and any associated supplements.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities </p> <p>• Assisting in the procuring of Ground Handling Services (including fuel and de-icing), and on-going coordination and management of services for all areas of operation as required.<br /> • Carrying out ramp audits and monitoring of airfields and the Ground Handling Manual. Ensuring data is recorded, feedback given and any areas for concern are followed up.<br /> • Assisting the Aviation Services Manager in updating the content of the Ground Handling Manual to reflect any regulatory or company changes/requirements.<br /> • Keeping a detailed database of all airports and ground handling agents pertinent to all areas of operation and maintain its accuracy.<br /> • Liaising with the customers with respect to obtaining any site survey information already held.<br /> • Notifying the Authority of any airfield limitations once an airfield has been surveyed.<br /> • Ensuring the Airfield Directory is populated and published with any pertinent country, airfield and ground handling information.<br /> • Providing data for the Airfield Risk Assessment for the DFO to sign off.<br /> • When requested assist with contractual oversight in accordance with ORO.GEN.205 (EASA regulations).<br /> • Liaising with the Leasing Team when new routes are advised.<br /> • Ensuring the operations log is accurately maintained recording all significant events or programme changes.<br /> • There is a need to travel (worldwide) with this role in order to conduct the required duties.</p> <p>Experience Required.<br /> • Recent experience of ground operations and security safety policy in a civilian air transport scheduled or charter airline including the preparation of manuals for the CAA’s approval (including due diligence processes).<br /> • Sound working knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement.<br /> • Knowledge of the EASA Regulations pertaining to contractual oversight.<br /> • Capable of adopting a flexible approach to problems solving.<br /> • Meticulous eye for detail and be capable of working on his/her own initiative without close supervision.<br /> • Inspecting or auditing experience within a ground operations environment.<br /> • Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.</p> <p>If the above opportunity is of interest to you and you want to work for a forward thinking organisation please forward your CV to ashley.ewen@zenon.aero</p> <p>Unfortunately only short listed candidates will be contacted.</p> <p>Zenon Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in regards to this vacancy.</p>
