<p>We have been commissioned by an Airport Authority to source a Tower Supervisor on a permanent basis based at their facilities in the South - UK.</p> <p>Responsibilities:-</p> <p>To supervise all Control Tower operatives and take responsibility for the day to day running of the airport ATSU, in accordance with statutory requirements and recognised safe operating practices.</p> <p>• Promote safety and the airports SMS, collaborating with the Safety & Compliance Manager in establishing a FIS hazard identification and risk assessment process <br /> • Coordination of all FIS operations in the safest, efficient and most cost-effective manner.<br /> • Establish internal departmental controls and procedures for all operational tasks, including document control, maintenance of the MAFIS and ensure that staff are trained and competent to carry out all duties assigned to them. <br /> • Issue SI’s, TOI’s to AFISOS<br /> • Document and implement corrective action requests derived from Compliance Monitoring Management and Safety Management System audits, inspections, or any other assessment<br /> • Establish professional prerequisites concerning employment, training, upgrading of FISO’s, in co-operation with the HR Manager.<br /> • Cooperate in the examination of the professional standards and qualifications of applicants;<br /> • Assist in the co-ordination of accident and serious incident response.<br /> • For all departmental manuals; implementing, documenting, preparing amendments and revising to maintain compliance, and supervising the monthly roster for the tower<br /> • Conduct inspections in all areas of the FIS department in accordance with the SMS internal supervisory checks, including the review of all training reports<br /> • Attend management meetings as required <br /> • Ensure that tower equipment remains serviceable, reporting unit defects for management action<br /> • To represent the airport at FIS related working groups and airport safety meetings including supporting the RFFS Manager with respect to the ANSP<br /> • Establish an annual FISO recurrent training programme<br /> • Ensure security of company and customer related data<br /> • Ensure handling requests are acknowledged and actioned<br /> • Provide flight support with regard to customer requests for flight planning, transport and accommodation, if required, ensuring that all customers receive a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times<br /> • Promote good working relationships with ATC, enforcement agencies and manage noise complaints<br /> • Control vehicle airside access<br /> • Provide statistical returns, as required, to the Airport Manager<br /> • Report safety Issues to the Airport Manager and the Safety & Compliance Manager within 24 hours or the occurrence<br /> • Carry out daily team briefings between Ground Crew and Watch AFISO<br /> • Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and ensure cleanliness and safety of the Visual Room<br /> • To assist in any other areas as and when required by the Airport Manager</p> <p>The successful candidates must have the following attributes:-</p> <p>• You must have a Flight Information Services Officer licence already in place and hold a valid medical certificate.<br /> • You will be passionate about aviation, be able to work under pressure with the ability to manage a small team. <br /> • Have good interpersonal and communication skills to enable effective liaison with Aerodrome users, outside agencies and the RFFS.<br /> • You will be proficient in MS Office packages and ideally have experience of working in a safety critical environment.<br /> • Ideal candidates should have previous experience working in a Supervisory role. <br /> • Experience within Air Traffic Control at a UK CAA Licensed aerodrome would be an advantage.<br /> • Training will be provided on the Airport’s Red Atlas system to enable the management of air traffic movements to be recorded.</p> <p>If the above opportunity is of interest to you please forward your CV to kevin.small@zenon.aero in confidence or call +(44) 1483332000.</p> <p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.</p> <p>Zenon Recruitment Ltd is an acting as an Employment Agency in regards to this vacancy.</p>
