<p align="center"><strong><u>Crew Planner &nbsp;- Crew Plan Long Haul</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Background </strong></p> <p><em>Norwegian is the second largest airline in Scandinavia and the third largest low-cost airline in Europe with approximately 4500 employees. Norwegian operates 424 routes to 130 destinations in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Thailand and the US. In 2014, 24 million passengers flew with the airline, which has been listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange since 2003 </em></p> <p>Norwegian has experienced significant growth over the previous years by introducing brand new aircraft to its fleet, launching many new routes and establishing new bases in Europe, Asia and the US. Continued fleet expansion through Europe’s largest ever single aircraft order and establishment of new international bases entails a major increase of flight deck and cabin crew resources to make sure flights are operating as scheduled. The planning and management of our crew resources is therefore essential to our continued success. With our planned future growth and increased focus on Long Haul operations, Norwegian has decided to strengthen its current Crew Planning department with a new planning centre in Barcelona. To secure correct and cost-efficient staffing of our operations, Norwegian is looking to hire a Crew Planner for short and long term vacation and roster planning on its Long Haul operation on flight deck.</p> <p><strong>Role description</strong></p> <p>As a crew planner in Norwegian, you will play an important role in planning our flight deck on our long haul operations. Key tasks will be to plan the duty rosters and ensure that the rosters are compliant with the applicable rules and regulations before the roster is released to the flight deck personnel, and released within the deadlines set by the European rules and regulations. The roster planning includes planning of extra stand by duties per base according to quotas and budgets and in cooperation with Norwegian’s crew controllers at OCC. You will also closely cooperate with training coordinators in planning of refresher and additional CBT crew training, plan line training and annual checks for our flight deck crew. At the end of the roster-planning period, you will also be responsible for preparing relevant crew data for roster release reports. As a Crew Planner for our long haul flight deck crew, you will report to Senior Crew Planner within the Flight Deck team for long haul operations.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>We are ideally looking for candidates with a degree in Economics, Mathematics, Logistics, Analysis, Transport or Optimization – although this is not essential. A relevant experience within transportation, logistics, operations or scheduling can compensate for lack of formal experience. To succeed as a Crew Planner you should have skills at an advanced level in Excel and with a good knowledge of the other Microsoft Office tools. It will be an advantage if you have knowledge with any crew schedule system, although that is not a requirement.</p> <p>At a more personal level, you should be accurate and highly structured with strong logistical abilities, and you must enjoy working in a high paced environment. You should be able to balance your attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture, and enjoy focus on continuous improvements.
