We also deliver postgraduate education to Officers in the Qatar Armed Forces through the Joaan Bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College in Doha.<br /> Focussing on our core values, and creating a positive environment for employees to thrive, we look forward to a bright future as we continue to grow with the region.<br /> Reporting to<br /> Team Leader ATC Training DWC</p> <p><strong>Role Context<br /> Key Purpose</strong><br /> Design and deliver training programmes across the ATC Approach unit to meet operational and project requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable timeframes, regulations and quality standards.</p> <p><strong>Structure and reporting relationship</strong><br /> Provides operational plans for weeks ahead, and is required to manage multiple and/or conflicting activities        <br /> Makes decisions in situations that fall outside established guidelines or where the choice among options is less obvious.          <br /> Supervises, motivates and trains staff, ensures quality of work, utilization of staff, and achievement of work targets.</p> <p><strong>Role Essentials<br /> Based on the specific requirement of the role<br /> Key accountabilities</strong><br />      * Design and deliver training programmes across the ATC Approach unit to meet operational and project requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable timeframes, regulations and quality standards.<br />      * Fulfil the role of Work Package Manager for Approach Training in accordance DANS Management policies and procedures.<br />      * Liaise with ATC Operations and assist in training needs analysis to continuously identify, define and monitor Approach ATCO continuation and professional development requirements<br />      * Assist Team Leader ATC Training – DWC in developing the ATC training plan, ensuring optimal resource allocation to address operational needs<br />      * Integrate course material into various forms of delivery, such as on-line learning, pre-course work books and self-assessment tests if applicable<br />      * Deliver high quality engaging training packages to ATC personnel in line with the applicable regulations and DANS training policies and procedures.<br />      * Conduct assessments as required to ensure Approach staff meet the performance criteria stated in all training programmes.<br />      * Coach and develop ATC staff on an on-going basis to ensure they are operating at the required standards.<br />      * Conduct annual OJTI and ATSI proficiency checks as per regulatory rules and requirements.<br />      * Assist in monitoring the currency of relevant ATCO endorsements<br />      * Monitor, measure and report on effectiveness of training in relation to staff performance<br />      * Keep abreast with latest technologies and developments in ATC training programmes<br />      * Operate as an ATCO for the required number of hours to maintain ATC licence / currency<br />      * Maintain up to date training records and submit necessary paperwork / reports to Team Leader ATC Training – DWC<br />      * Assist in other duties as required.<br />                                                                                                                                                     <strong>Essential technical and professional skills , knowledge and qualifications</strong><br />      * Degree / diploma in a relevant field from an accredited university preferable<br />      * Successful completion of the relevant ICAO courses<br />      * ATC License in the disciplines to be taught<br />      * Completion of OJTI, ATSI and LCE courses<br />      * Completion of a Classroom Instructional Techniques (CIT) or equivalent is required<br />      * Knowledge of Safety Management Systems<br />      * Further studies and / or qualifications relevant to training, learning and development would be an advantage<br />      * Fluency in written and spoken English is essential<br />      * Excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills<br />      * Customer service, influencing and negotiation skills<br />      * Initiative and commitment to achieve results<br />      * Situational awareness, adaptability and innovation<br />      * An ability to work make correct decisions under stress<br />      * A valid relevant medical certificate<br />      * Computer literacy with MS office packages skills<br />      * Validation of the relevant ATC ratings for a minimum 5 years at a major international airport<br />      * Minimum 1 year Local ATC Experience<br />      * Minimum 3 year demonstrated training course development, design and delivery preferable</p> <p><strong>Additional Information</strong><br /> Serco is committed to Equal Employment Opportunities and is committed to ensuring the safety of all of its employees through its Zero Harm initiative.
