<p><strong>Position: </strong>Head of Training and Standards<br /> <strong>Reference Number: </strong>HKC/FOP/HOT<br /> <strong>Department: </strong>Flight Operations<br /> <strong>Time: </strong>2016-04-11</p> <p><strong> Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deputize Chief Pilot;</li> <li>Ensure that initial, recurrent, command and TC training and periodic checks are carried out to HKCAD and Hong Kong Air Cargo Carrier requirements;</li> <li>Ensure that training records and Certificates of Test are correctly signed and maintained;</li> <li>Implement systems, procedures, and documentation for all pilot training and review their effectiveness;</li> <li>Organize refresher training as required;</li> <li>Develop, publicise and monitor adherence to company SOPs;</li> <li>Maintain the Training Manual such that it reflects the latest company training instructions, syllabi and lists of training personnel;</li> <li>Arrange for the use and approval of flight simulators and other training devices as required and within approved budget limits;</li> <li>Make recommendations to the Chief Pilot for the appointment of new training staff;</li> <li>Ensure that training staff are adequately trained and qualified for their assigned task and monitor their subsequent performance in the role;</li> <li>Counsel pilots as required ensuring that they are aware of any shortcomings in flying standards or SOPs, and recommend corrective action;</li> <li>Prepare agenda, chair and produce minutes of Training meetings;</li> <li>Assist the Manager Flying and Fleet Management in preparing training budgets;</li> <li>Review training rosters to ensure the most effective training within approved budget limits;</li> <li>Prepare Training Manual amendments;</li> <li>Carry out duties as Manager, Duty Operations as required;</li> <li>Liaise with the HKCAD on pilot training matters;</li> <li>Liaise with outside agencies and organizations on the development of training methods and equipment and make a case for capital expenditure for proposed improvements;</li> <li>Monitor technical standards of flight simulators;</li> <li>Maintain own competence in the role of Manager, Flight Training Administrations and Authorized Examiner;</li> <li>Attend Flight Operations Management and Safety Action Group Meetings.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements </strong></p> <ul> <li>At least five years relevant work experience, including two years in an airline operations environment;</li> <li>Appropriate management and flying training experience in the company or a comparable organization. The number of years of management experience required will be dependent on the combined management experience levels of other senior flight operations management team members;</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and familiar with aviation safety management system and quality systems;</li> <li>Must possess valid flight crew license relevant to operations to be conducted under the AOC, preferably be a Type Rating / Instrument Rating Examiner on a type operated under the AOC;</li> <li>Qualification and experience acceptable to the HKCAD.</li> </ul> <p>We offer an attractive employment package including staff training & development to successful candidates.
