We look for individuals who share our passion to succeed and generate results.<br /> <br /> As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions based at our Leighton Buzzard facility, including a <strong>Certification Manager. </strong></p> <p>Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Certification Manager will be responsible for the management of certification activities for the Certification Department, leading and planning resource, technical activities and facilities</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities are: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Management and oversight of the Certification Department, including strategic and resource planning and accountability for the technical quality and timely delivery of deliverable outputs from the Certification Department</li> <li>Responsibility for the planning and support of delivery schedules, resource planning and qualification plans, liaising with experts within the Systems function.</li> <li>Ensure that certification work scope is in line with program contract and certification data supports the business through the product life cycle</li> <li>Functions as the head of Certification Governance, managing delegation of certification preparation and checking through capability and competence processes, and ensuring all the necessary skills are developed to support the strategy of the business</li> <li>Certification document approval in areas of key competencies</li> <li>Support the Development of the certification toolset to support certification progress against scope and budget</li> <li>To manage certification support for business needs in Sales, Customer, Spares and Operations, primarily but not exclusively for wide body aircraft</li> <li>Provide leadership in the development of employees to assure a solid skill base with capable functional and succession</li> <li>Support the Certification Director in the maintenance and control of the DOA Office of Airworthiness, acting as an authorised on-site certification representative</li> <li>Attain/Develop Airworthiness CVE status with the business EASA DOA</li> <li>Any other reasonable duties as required</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Ideal candidate will have the following - </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Discipline</li> <li>Minimum 5-10 years of technical and operational experience in the Aerospace industry, involving both New Product development and team management</li> <li>A good understanding of Airworthiness regulations and certification for large aircraft</li> <li>Proven leadership abilities with strong technical, team and risk management skills</li> <li>Previously held Airworthiness Signatory Status</li> <li>Working knowledge of certification test methods and simulation packages</li> </ul>
