We look for individuals who share our passion to succeed and generate results.<br /> <br /> As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions based at our Leighton Buzzard facility, including a <strong>Quality Inspector. </strong></p> <p>Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be required to undertakes quality control activities for the Structures OEM and Aftermarket businesses with the emphasis on; error prevention, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, process and regulation compliance.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Carrying out First Article Mechanical Inspections of aerospace industry component parts and sub-assemblies to the AS9102 standard</li> <li>Finalizing First Article Inspection Reports, recording the data on MRP computer system, and maintaining the electronic file system</li> <li>Managing and controlling equipment calibration.</li> <li>Supporting business processes and personnel in continuous improvement activities in addition to providing information concerning product and process quality performance</li> <li>Liaising with suppliers to resolve customer issues, promoting customer confidence and satisfaction</li> <li>Supporting the New Product Introduction process through quality planning and implementation, liaising with internal functions and suppliers</li> <li>Ensuring all quality data is captured and analysed against targets taking action on adverse variation to standard</li> <li>Any other reasonable duties</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Ideal candidate will have the following - </strong></p> <ul> <li>5 GCSE’s:Maths and English and a BTEC or HNC in Manufacturing or Engineering.</li> <li>The suitable candidate will have a strong quality and / or aerospace background gained within medium to high volume manufacturing</li> <li>Competent in the use of hand held measuring (Verniers, Height Gauge, Micrometers) and reading and understanding drawing requirements including geometrical tolerances</li> <li>Continuous Improvement and 5S Mindset</li> <li>Able to read, understand and interpret engineering information</li> <li>Effective communicator at all levels both verbal and written</li> <li>Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team</li> <li>IT literate – Effective use of Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access</li> </ul>
